What pages take/took long to load? Wtf are you talking about. I surf on my phone not on wifi during the day and nothing takes 5s to load. I think you are trying to justify the change and feed us crap by just telling us this is better because the old one sucked. The old one didn't suck as much as you make it sound (also per the people complaining about it in this thread). If there is a money/server issue, say that. It's better than this current line you're pushing.

Because i just found it and I could remember from 20 min ago that it was pay raises. I find it laughable how hard you're defending this.

whatever, dude...in case you haven't noticed, the site can get bogged down when it gets busy. It is during this time that we see the database being scanned by searches that ultimately time out. These time outs hog server resources and slow down the site for everyone.
You think searching for "judges" the old way is somehow way better than searching for "judges and pay raises" the new way. The thread you sought is the first entry in the results list.
You are stuck in the crappy mode of typing in an exact keyword instead of multiple keywords or phrases...both have their negatives, but this new way eases the strain on the server.

Again, I ONLY REMEMBERED ONE WORD AT THE TIME. Is that so difficult to understand? What if I was searching for a one word ingredient or another one word item? What if I was looking for a thread about the show Community?
Also, I've been on this site for a while and can never remember a search timing out (not saying its never happened to me but I just search again). I think I've been on for most of the major melt downs (Zach lee, McKnight, etc...) and yes, those times make it tough to use the sight. But that's a once a year thing.

Because it wasn't that important to me. Pretty much nothing on this site really is. But a lot of times I'll read a thread then randomly think of it at a later date and I'll think "hmm, wonder how that turns out... SEARCH: poli board: judges. And again, I usually surf on my phone so the less clicks the better. I'm not going to bookmark every thread I read.

Lester...thank God you a here...you are a breath of fresh air.
This is not a long term solution. This is something to get us through the next month. Hopefully we can find some additional search solutions. I think this google search can be improved greatly.

I'm losing respect for you by the minute.
I'd say that I'm on this site daily and other than a random shut down I don't ever find it to be slow. Am I sitting there with a stopwatch timing every page load? No. Am i watching a readout of the server activity? No. Do I notice that this site is slower or faster than any other website? No. All I can say is what I see. So frick me for coming to this board and voicing my thoughts on it only to get name called by the webmaster because I wouldn't understand.
