consider this example: there was a thread on the rant earlier today that was a tribute to a dead tiger fan, which someone down voted. that doesn't make much difference to you or me, but it might be a little shitty for the person who posted the tribute to see that someone couldn't help but flame it in the most anonymous way possible. i'd kind of like to see who that was so that everyone can call them a dick.

Maybe they were down voting the death

so clicking a red arrow is now "flaming"? Maybe that poster thought "Oh man, i think it sucks that this guy is dead. I'm going to downvote the thought of death"
If you think about it that way, there are a shite ton of assholes upvoting the thought of death and only one person (the real hero) is man enough to stare death in the face and click downvote.

ok, if i posted a memorial message about those who died in the holocaust and someone downvoted it, is it reasonable to assume that they were downvoting genocide?

i'm very interested to know whether you think identifying up and down voters by their handle would add anything positive to the tigerdroppings experience.

I could care less.
But not much less.

I'll admit to downvoting or upvoting, whatever, but it really doesnt matter. An Ignore feature is needed much more than than an identity feature.
I downvoted btw, its what the cool kids were doing.

I don't see the point of the upvote/downvote feature. I forget that it exists most of the time.

I created my 1st alter to down vote you twice.
He will be called doescare.

No...it's only reasonable to assume they downvoted your post.

At the moment, I am your only up vote FWIW

ok, hear me out on this:
what if down votes didn't ban people, but potential suspensions come with it? then, the more down votes you get, the longer you're suspended from posting. what do you guys and girls say to that?

Frankly, I don't even notice the up/down votes.
