Can we get the downvote option to actually mean something?

Like if they get enough downvotes, automatically make that post unreadable? I think it would help derail some of the trolls.

I think if a post in a thread gets the most or enough upvotes then that post gets moved up to be the first reply in the thread.

yeah, it's rarely used on the boards I frequent.
I've only seen it used in new breaking threads with a subsequent poster posting links/more info about whatever the topic is.
