I'm 61. lift 4-5 times a week. Nothing real heavy like the young bucks. I find I have some pain/discomfort in my left wrist at times. aside from making sure my form is correct and not putting it in a compromising position what would you recommend. Wrapping my wrist to stabilize?

I have had some wrist issues on right arm. I wrap on heavy bench and OHP, nothing wrong with that.

My wrist issue is not from lifting, but still feels good being more locked at the wrist.

Main thing is keeping your wrist straight during curls. It’s very easy to let your wrist start to bend and it will cause pain very quickly.

Depending on where the pain is, a wrist widget can be helpful. You can buy one on Amazon for like $20.

Some form of wrist wraps.

Neoprene style with velcro can get bulky and inhibit wrist mobility. The CrossFit-style friction wraps are your friend.

I don't know about the Inzer wraps, but you do not want "mega" wraps for general discomfort. Also, half of how effective the wrap is, is how you wrap it. How high up on the thumb side of the wrist do you go? How tight do you crank it?

I've used EliteFTS wraps, and still like the basic ones the best: LINK . Any wrap named after a snake (Constrictor, etc.) is too much for me. Even with the basic wrap, I usually have to loosen the wrap in between sets. With the mega wraps I start going numb within about 2 minutes or less.

Whatever brand you pick, start with the most basic, least restrictive wrap, and focus on applying it properly to address your issue and what exercises you do.
