You were over eating.

Then the weight started to melt off.
Increased dose likely helped you stop over eating. That’s ok.

Let’s quit over complicating simple things for the sake of feelings.

Incorrect. The amount I ate and the amount I worked out never changed. If you're spying on me in my house, you need to cut that out.

lol no

Your profound argument to the contrary made me rethink this.

Maybe a different way to make the point is it wouldn't be 3k at either weight if can be 3k at either weight.

That’s pretty much impossible in the scenario you describe.

It’s such an interesting place with the way the laws of thermodynamics are suspended in your house. It’s hard to resist.

Well, the "reset" would be the same effect as what you get from reverse dieting, according to you, which is an adjusted metabolism that burns more calories, right?

There's about as much proof reverse dieting works as the 3 year reset idea, btw. I found studies for the latter, but didn't for the former, so there's that?

What do you think reverse dieting is, btw? And how do you think your metabolism reacts after, say 3 years of maintaining a constant weight and exercising?

You’re arguing against yourself in two sentences

That’s impossible to answer without about a million more data points

how do you know you reduced intake? have you monitored it as in weighing and tracking food?

also have you monitored your step count?

if not, you dont know you have reduced overall intake. you are not gaining that much muscle, you are eating too many calories still.

A lot of good responses in this thread already. You cant manage what you dont measure.

Things you need to measure:
-Calories(there are apps that make this simple)
-Body measurement(You can pick one thing or multiple...waist, hip, arm etc)
-Physical activity(time walking, reps, weight lifted, etc)
-Pictures...swallow your pride and take a shirtless, non-flexing picture. This is a good way to measure progress

The information you gave us wasnt enough to make any kind of diagnosis.

Of course there is. He’s lying to himself and everyone else. I’ll get downvoted and called an a-hole, but that’s just the truth

for the record mingo is correct

glp-1 do not change your metabolism. there is no method of upregulation of basil metabolic rate or any other change to somehow get around the laws of thermodynamics

therefore....if you are not losing weight....you are in fact eating too god damn much or you have dropped your activity level aka Neat and not accounted for it which means in fact....your are eating too god damn much.

if you are not measuring and tracking everything you put in and not losing weight....you are eating too god damn much.

some of yall need to stop arguing and just accept that you are not a special snow flake and GLP-1s dont change that.

I went back and read my post twice. Nothing in my post came off as crybaby-like or snowflake. Just looking for advice.

You certainly like to argue though. I'll give you that. lol

Cry baby? Maybe not, but disillusioned? Certainly. You made reference how to how you were immune to the the laws of thermodynamics several times.

It’s pretty fricking simple dude, stop drinking a half bag of sugar a week along with snacking or keep being fat, you’re choise

There are people in this thread that despite definitely being assholes, do probably exercise a lot of discipline in their diet, lifestyle, workouts etc. It can be frustrating when, despite the vast amount of knowledge out there, people come around who havent exercised much discipline in their diet and exercise and say "why isnt my magic pill working"

Making a body composition change(losing fat, gaining muscle) is hard but not complicated. The hard part is breaking habits. Theres really no reason why anyone trying to lose weight should be drinking any cokes. It is kinda silly considering diet cokes arent that bad and have zero calories.

If you are really struggling with a craving, id encourage a fast. There are some in this thread that are very much against it...but fasts work incredibly well for resetting MY brain. If ditching the cokes isnt a big deal, skip the fast and just start monitoring the calories. I like a 500/day deficit but thats just me. Track your calories and treat it like a game. 3500 calories is a pound of fat. Dont go for the high end of activity when you are plugging in your info for getting your baseline calories expended.

This website will estimate your daily expended calories

Here’s what has worked for me.

First I loved beer and could easily drink a 12’er daily, part of the reason I gained a bunch of weight.

1. I cut out alcohol all together, zero.
2. Take Zepbound 1x week
3. Walk two miles “fast” every day, no off days.
4. Lift in the garage 2-4 x week
5. Eat breakfast, lunch then fast until breakfast again. I eat sugar free beef jerky or fruit, cheese if needed to get by.

Since Jan 21st 2023 I’m down 70 lbs, it’s not easy or fast but I feel 100 x better.

It hasn’t been easy and I’ve hit some plateaus where it took 5-6 weeks to break.

I had tried a couple of other times and failed but finally got my mind right to do it, the no alcohol and fasting really helped.
