Why am I getting severe charlie-horses in my upper forearm after working biceps?

I do about 45 minutes worth of bicep exercises. Elbows behind back variations, hammer curls, raised cable curls, chin-ups, etc.

About 4-5 hours after, my upper forearm, when I bend my arms starts to cramp and it hurts like crazy. Been happening for probably a year.
What is it?

No idea. I'm in my late 40's. Started this up few years back and can't shake the cramps

Could be many things.

Most likely some sort of deficiency or dehydration.

What are you eating?

I thought of that but it’s only in my forearms after biceps. I hit all other muscle groups with the same intensity.
With me it could always be hydration as I don’t drink as much water as I should

Your strongest and most efficient muscle for elbow flexion is your Brachioradialis. This is the main muscle you use in Hammer Curls. It will also be used in every form of elbow flexion. Muscle spasms like charlie horses are primarily because muscles have depleted the nutrients they need to release muscle contraction (mainly Calcium). Doing 45 minutes of straight bicep exercises will deplete your nutrients. Try having some kind of calcium source before, and maybe during, your training depending on how many sets/reps of bicep work you do.

The problem may also be in your wrist, which for me, causes pain on the ulnar side of the forearm at the elbow. Have you tried stretching out your fingers before/during the workout?

You're putting a lot of volume on your wrists (particularly with the twisting of the wrist,) when you should probably just be buying smaller shirts. You realize that 2/3 of the arm is made of your triceps, not your bicep, right?
