Yep, I remember that one time and always have my spider senses tingle when I see a thread like this.

So since it was a bench press, that means it was on top? How hard did you have to push off when you were finished?

It's not about how much you can lift, it's about how much it looks like you can lift.

Back in the days, weighed 170 lbs,and put up five reps at 275. Now, herniated disk in back, and old. 180 on the Smith machine plus whatever the bar weighs for 10 reps. Old.

Haven’t maxed out in a while. But I usually workout with 315 for 4 sets of 5-6 when I go heavy. Prob around 360-370 if I had to guess

As a 148 lb natural collegiate powerlifter I hit 281 lbs raw. As a steroid abusing 195 lb pussy magnet i repped about 350 (serious)

What's closer to reality, OT bench max or ACT scores?

I used to do a little bodybuilding back in the 70’s and early 80’s. I didn’t care about having a high 1 rep max (I was on a lot of steroids and was afraid I would tear something) so I would just grab the heaviest weight I could and do it for as many reps as possible. I could do 315 for 12 reps which translates to about a 415lb max. I just wanted big chest, shoulders, and arms. Didn’t care about anything else.
