Never tried it and recommend against it.

Yes.

Your questions?

I made it near 6 months. It is pretty damned easy to do now. Depending where you live.

If I have to take a pill for protein, then no thanks. Besides, no way could I give up bacon.

Pretty much only need b12 I believe. Plenty of protein in beans and legumes and soy and soybeans. Most people eat a ton more protein than they can use.

Elite athletes need more, but there are elite vegan athletes. And I'm not trying to start some shite storm with the gym rats and keto guys on here.

I wasn't sure expecting a pro vegan documentary when I turned it on. But it was ok. Exposing the hypocritical health organizations was what I got out of it.

I was also pretty intrigued about how going plant based helped athletes heal injuries.

But all the slaughterhouse stuff and effects on the environment stuff was just over kill on stuff people already know.

IMO, if the current system bothers you, buy local from a farmer you can trust, don't just abandon the system - be part of the solution.

Monocrop industrial farming kills tons of "souls," my grass fed cow essentially only one.

Nutritionally, not all protein is complete, so beware.

At least eat mollusks, mushrooms are more self aware than mollusks. Tons of nutrition there.

My wife and I did it for about 6 months. I wasn't lifting at the time but I was running 15-20 miles a week. It honestly felt great. Best I've ever felt. However, I will never forget my first bite of meat after doing it for so long. It was like "yep. I'm done being vegan now." Eating meat is fricking awesome.

I've done vegan before 6. I plan to start back on it. Eat tons of fruit and veggies all day and eat whatever we have planned for supper to not throw my wife and 3 kids into shock. We do plan 1-2 meatless suppers though.

I try to kill 2-3 deer to provide natural "beef"

Contains isoflavens, which are used in hormonal therapy for post menopausal women. You'll have man boobs which will frick up the way you look in under armor.

Every vegetarian or vegan I come across always looks like shite; either a lard arse or someone so emaciated they look like they just got back from the holocaust. No thanks.

Apparently, it has one of the lowest life expectancy of all diets.

I have done it for lent for 40 days. I felt fine and energized. Doing it has ended up making me lower my meat intake when I did shift back to normal. I thought "What the Health" documentary went a little overboard in some areas but the general message was well intentioned

Hops are also notoriously bad for estrogen. Germans noted a long time ago girls that picked hops went through puberty earlier than girls that didn't. Beer is a solid contributor to lowering your testosterone levels. Beer is probably a bigger contributor to lack of manliness for more men than soy.
