I’ve used my Invincible’s for long runs and have enjoyed them. They feel like running on pillows.

Haven’t posted in the shoe thread in a while and I’m sure it’s already been said but I’ve been about 500 or so miles now in my saucony endorphin speeds and they are hands down the best shoes I’ve ever ran in. I’ve pretty much stopped running in brooks altogether now. Mostly just cruise in the sauconys and I mix in a few runs with the Reebok floatride energy 3s. (Another great shoe )

Agree the Endo Speed is an all around great shoe. I have the pro as well and so far based on 20-30 miles I don't like them nearly as much as the speed.

what I'm excited about is the return of the Zoom Fly. ZF 4 expected to be out in NOV. I really hope they made major changes from the POS ZF 3. I'd still run in the OG ZF if I could find them. I didn't like the ZF Flyknit or ZF3.

Get fitted. Pick a brand. The only thing that matters is your arch or lack of.

I think I’m gonna buy endorphin speeds (non pro model, or whatever it’s called). Those should last me through the marathon in January.

I’m also interested in Hoka Cliftons, although I’ve read those don’t do well if there is even a little bit of water on the road. My friends, none of whom are runners, adore their oncloud shoes.

Anyone have experience with Hoka Clifton or OnClouds?

What size? I have some ZoomFly SP’s I’d part with. Pretty sure those were similar to the original ZF. 45 miles on them. I realize lightly used shoes are a weird offer

OnClouds

If you like a really firm ride, their most recent models I’ve heard are improvements over older ones. Every review I’ve ever read of an OnCloud running shoe has not been generous to say the least. Too many better options out there for way less money.

I don't know what I like, TBH.

I currently run in Brooks Anthem 2s I got on sale. They get the job done. I think I'd like something that doesn't offer too much propulsion.

T-alley

if you like brooks why not give the another one in their lineup a try. Ghost is a solid shoe. Glycerin if you like more cushion for the pushing.

I'd say the biggest downfall of the Endo Speed is wet traction. its not nike trail shoe bad but i've noticed a little slippage but mainly on downhill.

I'm size 9. did read that the SP ran a little small compared to regular. Which colorway do you have?

I’m a 9 as well. And yes, they do run a half size small. Mine are a 9.5 in the all white color. I can double check when I get home if you’re interested. I bought them December 2019 and have put about 45 miles on them through December 2020. Haven’t laced them up since, just collecting dust.

I'll be run testing shoe soon that I think this board will be very interested in. Bad news is that it wont be out for little under a year and I won't be able to talk about it.

Allowed to mention brand? Or can you give a hint if it’s one of the big brands?

I mean the new one just came out and I implied that the board loves it. That's a pretty good hint.

Edit: If when I get the instructions on what I can and can't do, I may be able to reveal the brand and yes this is a major brand.

Anyone have the Altra Rivera? I’m currently in the Torin’s and feel like they have too much cushion. I want the Escalante, but I can’t find them locally. The Torin’s just don’t give enough feedback.

ETA: All the kids that finished in the top 15 of my race today were in Nike’s. They had a weird shark fin on the back? Figure they were the cheater shoes.

What about these?

I've had some flynits in the past and I love them, never ran in this kind though.

Comparable? Good or not?

+1 on the Endorphin Speed. True do it all shoe. Tempo Next% I’ve heard are only good at tempo paces.

I’m usually a Nike guy and like I said, love my flynits… these seem similar… but with the extra on it.

A guy I talk to frequently mentioned some negatives about these… so that has me in btw as well…

But never bought saucony before..
