One of the ingredients is Rauvolfia serpentina. One the active alkaloids in Rauvolfia serpentina is a chemical called Reserpine. Reserpine is a prescription medicine used to treat high blood pressure.

My Hubbie started seeing cardiologist & was put on 3 B/P meds; one was for PSVT. I said no way we’re doing this & he cut out salt as much as possible. He was taken off of 1 b/p med
and takes 1/2 of initial b/p med during summer. Processed foods full of preservatives are the worst & anything whole or natural is best.

Lsu777, thank you for the suggestion. I’m going to buy it now and give it a try. Much appreciated.

How long does it take to see some progress? I got my BP pretty near normal with diet and medication. However, I’d like to get it into healthy ranges. I don’t care if I have to continue with medication. But, would be a nice bonus if I could reduce my dosage.

Think of all the pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides used to douse the crops of hops and grains, and then add the fluoride and chlorine present in the water source. The combined accumulation of those poisons must impact the health of heavy beer drinkers.

Most people will see best results at 3,000 - 4,000 mg of Sodium a day.

Isn’t 3-4 grams what is generally recommended? I know 2 grams/day is a low Na diet.
