I'm holding up well, but I think I may need more fat...
I'll probably add 2oz of butter to 8oz of greens or spinach to bump those numbers...
I'm not "tired" or hungry, so I can limbo low on calories for a while.

All 6 days so far have been pretty close to this diagram...so I need more fat.

People that downvote keto diets are the ones with high metabolisms. They dont understand what it is to actually have to do work to stay thin.

My metabolism is not fast, I used to marathon, do 40 minute long cardio work, high rep/short break lifting just to stay at 16% body fat (I carry it well, a little bit all over)...mentally I have no problem pushing myself to injury level, physically, i can't process carbs fast enough

I can only drop weight when I outright almost stop eating carbs...my gastro system sucks at dealing with dairy, so I've never done this high of a fat content...I'm trying more butter today.

Started studying and reading more about keto. From what I understand, fat macros is not a goal. Fat macros is to keep you satiated and provide energy. If you don't meet your fat goal that is ok. Meet or exceed your protein goal and keep your carbs under 20 grams. I'm no expert just what I have read.

This is the new talking point. I agree to an extent if you are already lean. Be very careful with protein consumption. I personally tested this myself eating my normal carbs so generally <10g net a day but increase my protein to about 40%. I tested my ketones on a mojo and was hardly in Keto. My BG was also elevated.

Started Keto during the third week of February to drop a few pounds before vacation in March.

Did two weeks of keto and lost about 9 pounds, went crazy during my vacation, and I just went back to the diet after the vacation because I liked it, and I want to get a little more fat off me for the summer.

Ive lost 14 pounds total in just less than a month.

Pros: I eat a shite ton of pepperoni and cheese, and can eat as much meat as I like. Ive found that a salad from Subway is now one of my favorite things. Steak(extra steak), cheese, lettuce, light tomatoes, jalapenos, light cucumbers, oil and vinegar, and mayo is my go to. After about three days, I got all the sugar out of my system and I dont want cokes or any drinks other than water anymore. I have substituted beer for straight vodka or whiskey, so I can still have a good time with friends if I go out to a bar. Ive had more omelettes this past month than I have had in my entire life. I miss pizza so much. Its the only thing that I miss and I miss it like a crack head misses crack.

Cons:I got sickened of beef after about two weeks. I couldnt eat it anymore. I switched to tuna salad(tuna/mayo/relish) and it has made a huge difference. I did go through the keto flu when I started. I had to leave work one day. I went home and slept for about 15 hours. I have noticed that my workouts have been affected. With limiting protein, Ive lost some strength, and I can see that a little muscle has left.

Overall, I like it. Its not something that I will do for good because I like working out and building muscle, but it really is the easiest diet that I have ever done. Ill probably stay on it until April 1 to hopefully lose about 5 more pounds, and I might do it again in May for a few weeks, and continue to do it like that for a while.

I’m not a doctor but this doesn’t seem healthy. I know there is dramatic weight loss with Keto but this sounds like muscle loss in addition to fat and water loss.

Hopping on the keto train for a while starting today. Not sure how long, but at least a couple of months. It'll be a nice change of pace. Honestly most of my favorite foods are keto friendly. Eggs, bacon, wings, pork belly, etc.

In 10 years people will wonder why the frick Americans ever ate anything other than a keto diet.

It single handedly will solve this country's health crisis.

Less obesity.
Less diabetes.
Less heart disease.
Less cancer.

Any reason for starting keto again?

Convenience. The wife wants to, for no really good reason, and her sister+BIL+Dad all do keto so it's just easier at gatherings.

For me, since she's intent on doing it, it's easier just to follow along to a) show support, b) convenience..not meal prepping for two very different diets, and c) a change of pace

Eta

Appetite suppression as my calories are getting dropped will be nice also

I've forgotten just how hard it is to keep carbs down to keto levels, I'm going over my net carbs each day just on vegetables and eggs I'm used to getting 2 or 3 cups of veggies at every meal for satiety.

I'm not a keto fanboy but pretty much everything you've stated is just plain wrong.
