So downvote a post where someone stops eating processed garbage, cuts back on the alcohol, and is losing both weight and inches.

It's almost as bad as the OT in here sometimes.

Oh God kill me now!

My cousin came in from Dallas last night which turned into “crop inspecting” (drinking beer and looking at family property). I want to fricking die! Carbs are the devil.

i managed to hold myself to 2 mich ultras at a wedding, was pretty proud of myself

3 weeks in, down 8lbs. working out 5 days/wk, keto, loose IF (been working 80 hrs/wk since january 1, so sometimes its not feasible if im stuck at office). dont look too different imo, but I can tell my clothes are looser. I could really tell that I was all-in when we went to a hibachi joint for lunch and held myself to just 2 chicken breasts. I can PUT DOWN some fried rice and I was able to ignore the urge.

ive had one cheat meal (burger and fries) since ive started and i wanted to kill myself after. about put me in a coma whem i got back to office

It truly is remarkable. It’s a shame some people are closed minded to the point they won’t even try it.

Great work. Next time on the hamburger get a lettuce bun and you won’t even have to cheat!

@Clint Torres

Where did you find those wraps in the store? Which store? I just scoured the Airline / Pville Rouses and came up empty.

I'm seeing more ads for MCT oil. Is that stuff all crap? It seems to promise a lot.

Also, I'm starting to get a little worried about loose skin once I get a bit thinner. I've heard that collagen supplements will help. Any advice?

No it’s not crap. Obviously make sure you get a good quality one from a reputable dealer. It is great to boost your fats and is very quick acting. Will increase your energy. Medium chain triglycerides are a very efficient fuel source and very good to ingest.

I used to supplement with MCT oil / powder but stopped several months ago. I would rather get my fats from real foods and/or butter because of the vitamins it provides. Be careful with MCT oil. Go slow it causes stomach toroubles if you go too hard out of the gates. I would recommend starting with 1/2 tbsp working up in 1/2 tbsp increments and not exceeding 2 tbsp per day.

I’ve never used a collagen supplement. Seems very scammy to me honestly. I mostly hear about collagen in the context of hair and nail health.

It also helps skin with elasticity. Older people use it to help firm up the skin.

No I’ve used the NOW brand oil and the perfect Keto powder.

If you ingest too much you will have very liquid shits and the associated stomach pain.

Do you have any experience with the keto rash?

No I’ve never had it and no one I know personally has ever had it. Ask CoachChappy I believe he had it and beat it. I honestly don’t know the cure.

I have to have some variety. Sunday I grilled 4 hamburger patties to eat this week. Also made egg and chicken salad. Sauteed a bunch of asparagus. Sliced up cucumber and washed some celery to snack on. Also, there are a lot of keto friendly recipes. Planning has been the key to my success.

I get it all over my chest and back where I sweat the most. It itches like crazy and looks terrible. Is there anyway to combat this? When it shows up, I always have to stop the diet and it usually takes a few weeks to a month to go away completely which stops my progress.

Here is what I know. Some people get the Keto rash when they start into ketosis. It goes away within 2 weeks. I used Cortizone10 and showered quickly after a workout. Finish your shower with as cold of water as you can stand. Heat is the trigger to make it worse like any rash.

Some unlucky folk get it as long as they are in ketosis. Like every time all the time. That is only a small percentage of people.

This may be your only option. You can't do a keto diet. You'll just have to find another diet that gets you into a caloric deficit.

Try to push through a couple of weeks of the rash and see if it goes away.

At Rouses in the CBD but they've been out of them the past week or so; they said they have ordered more though. And they had been keeping them in the little open refrigerated section next to the deli, near the fancy cheeses.

I've been doing lazy keto for a few months, but in need to buckle down and start getting serious.

I just ordered a sample pack of Keto Chow which is a keto meal replacement shake. It supposedly is nutritionally complete and could technically replace all meals. I plan on using them 3-4 times a week for dinner.

Any experience with this stuff? Opinions? Seemed to get good reviews on the keto Reddit.

I don’t use any Keto meal replacements aside from a Keto brick maybe once every 3 months. If you are going to make this a long term thing I don’t think there really is any room for the meal replacements. It’s 100% marketing. They are seizing upon the Keto craze and putting products out there solely to make money. There is zero purchase outside of real foods necessary to be very successful on Keto.

If this is what helps you maintain a healthy lifestyle and cut out carbs / sugar go ahead. However over time you will want to eat Whole Foods to meet your macros.
