EXCLUDING steriods.

This was from an old locked thread I had on the OT from years ago so I moved it over here.

I'm always up for a new supplement to try out but every one is guaranteed to increase size and strength, so it's hard to decide which to buy.

I'm calling upon my Fitness board brethren to give ratings and reviews of supplements they have tried as a public service annoucement to the lifters here. I'll add & update this post (and the next if needed) as they roll in and we can reference this post as needed.

I'll group them together as required: Creatine, NO, Prohormones, Amino Acids, Whey Protein, Weight gainers, Weight loss, etc.

I've used a lot of supplements and I believe most of it is just a scam.

About the only thing I think works is preworkout or creatine (to increase water weight).

I'll take some preworkout if I'm tired. Protein makes me gassy so I get everything from eating food.

All of that amino acid stuff is a scam in my opinion. They use a bunch of roided out guys to promote it

Aminos are valuable if used right IMO. They are perfect before fasted AM cardio, during diet phases and for intra workout applications.

Prohormones:

Are banned. Use SARMS instead like a combo of ostarine & s4. Or mk677

Weight Gainers:

Huge waste of money. Learn how to eat correctly and food is a lot cheaper

Weight Loss Products:

Hydroxycut is pointless. Go buy water pills if that's what you want.
When looking for weight loss, find something that has a cortisol blocker.

Everything else I use I make sure no prop blends are involved. If they are, I won't even consider buying them.

When buying protein, whey isolate is obviously the best. Easy calculator for protein. Divide the # of grams of protein by the grams in serving size. Make sure tgat # doesn't fall below 70%. When buying isolate, it better be 80% or above for me.
