I saw someone take their pre workout powder today dry then drank a small amount of water to wash it down. Has anyone ever done this and why?

I fill a tiny balloon with pre workout, inflate it, shove it inside my sphincter then pop it. Call it a hemorrhoid.

I know a guy who used to do that. Not really a big deal. Just kind of hard to swallow like that.

Really dumb trend that seems like mostly girls do and post about it on social media, I don’t get it

When I was taking a pre I’d do it more often than not.

It’s quick and convenient. Also I’d like to try different pres and some tasted pretty bad. Rather get it over quickly than have to pound 16oz of the stuff.

Dry scooping was a big youtube/insta thing several years ago with gym bros, it died down, and now tiktok fitladies have caught onto it.

People who take preworkout are weird.

Drink some coffee and go workout.

I hadn’t taken a pre workout in a long time until last week. Got some free samples with some other stuff I ordered and decided to try one out. Saw a pretty noticeable difference and it was a low-stim version.

Weird might be a little too much, I wouldn’t say they’re weird, it’s just totally unnecessary taking a pre workout supplement.

Why is it more unnecessary than a cup of coffee?

I do this on the way to the gym while driving. One scoop in my mouth then wash it down with water.

Some are, some aren't.

Gotta find a pre with the right supplements that are dosed properly. Caffeine, creatine (long-term use), and beta alanine are good examples of supplements proven to improve performance and/or muscle gain. The key is to have them dosed properly; a lot of shitty supplements out there have "proprietary blends" that don't disclose their doses, which probably means they're not dosed appropriately.
