Stubborn groin strain

Anyone ever have a groin strain? Got mine almost 4 weeks ago and very little improvement even with physical therapy last 2-3 weeks. Therapist using passive stretches plus dry needling, a-stim, and cupping. Will this ever get better? Can't hike or play golf, can barely get up into my truck at times.

It will get better but as you've found out takes a long time.

Also, how old are you? I've found in my mid 40s that things take about twice as long to get past as they used to. Sprained my AC joint in my shoulder about 1.5 years ago, and thought it was going to be fine. After a month I went to see an Ortho, and about another month after that I could lift my arm over my head without the tightness and pain. Another month or so to get full mobility back without any pain.

Not specifically groin but I strained/partially tore my hip flexor in high school. It took months to truly get back to close to normal, but even to this day still has some issues. Groin isn't quite as constantly used as your hip flexor is, but it is pretty close. It is just going to take time as there isn't a great way to "not" use it, so it is constantly getting stressed while still injured.
