Is there a reason I shouldn't work upper body?

I worked out the day I got it and the day after and it helped with the soreness.

No reason not to workout unless it's any combination of red/swollen/warm to touch.
Otherwise, tighten up and hit the weights.

No reason to not get after it. The day of my second Moderna shot I lifted. The next day I felt like arse though and skipped.

That’s why I hit the gym before the shot. Went away the next day.

Exercise your arm. Put a wet rag or ice pack at the injection site. Take something like Tylenol for the pain if you have it. Will go away in a day or so.

As long as your not having a reaction - fever chills etc I don’t see any reason not to

Like others have said, lift, specifically try and work that area, so long as you are not sick. If sick then rest.

I was more sore after the second shot, but like others have said.... exercising should help. It helped me, but I didn't so anything but light weight just to warm those muscles.

I was told by a nurse who already had the vaccine to exercise the arm and move it around. When I received my first shot, I did so and didn’t have any soreness at all in the arm.
