Starting to get to the point where I want the belt for my heaviest sets. Don't need anything crazy

Old trainer said he has a Titan 4X4. Something like this

LINK /

Think this absolute basic one will help me get going, then i can invest in one later? or should I just invest in one now?

I know we have some real jacked baws around here

Titan, Inzer, Supertraining...they’re all going to be fine. I even think I saw ST sells a belt that’s already broken in...that’s the biggest pain. Not sure if Titan and Inzer do now.

I have the ader belt from Amazon. It's been great although I think I got the best of the best in their inventory. Mine was perfectly 10mm all the way through the belt.

Get a good one now, and you'll have it forever. Once you get a good one, you'll realize you made the right choice.

My first belt was a 10mm Pioneer. Look them up - General Leather Craft. You can completely customize a belt down to the stitch. Great belt, single piece of leather. Can get expensive, but you can get a decent priced basic one.

I now have an Inzer 13mm. Very stiff, but I like it, twss. It'll last a lifetime. Above $100, but they are some of the best in the game.

I think I'm going to get an Inzer next. I can't decide on lever or single prong though. I have double prong now and don't like it.

Is the Titan basic one I showed you not a "good" one? It seems to be a reputable company with a great pedigree.

I wouldn't mind spending $100 if it was way better than the Titan one that seems to be perfectly fine.

But this is why i brought the matter up. I've only ever used one with a single prong

It's a good brand, but it's only a 2mm thick belt. Just not much support. 6.5mm would be the lowest I'd go. 10mm is probably the best for everyone.

I don't think it's 2mm. That's the roller. I think it's 6mm

I have a 10mm lever belt from pioneer fitness. No complaints at all.

That is raw. Sack up and lift more to require a belt.

You could've gotten 500 with a belt. Just saying.

So you like raw raw huh? Not even a little protection? What about those "lifts" that are very taxing and have seen lots of volume?

I have a Stoic 6 inch, no taper, no pad. Needs to be broken in a little bit, but it's a good belt.

Ouch, my body couldn't handle that big load. I'm glad yours can. That would rub all of my sides and stuff. I can see so much chaffing happening.

I almost did a thread on how to properly use a belt but I’ll hijack yours if you don’t mind

I’ve never used one and always assumed they were for back support, but apparently that’s not the case at al and they’re for abdominal? I’ve read it has a lot to do with your breathing how you use it

Yes and no. The belt is for core support and not just back or abs. The purpose of the belt is for something rigid to brace against. You create a sturdiness by pushing all of your core muscles against the belt. That is the reason a full belt is recommended and not a tapered belt. You want coverage all around the stomach and back. The more material you have, the more you can push against it and it keep rigid.

I got an Inzer single prong. It's legit.
