Just ate two sugar free jello cups. They looked more filling than they were.

Day 6. Same weight as yesterday. So still at about 5lbs lost this week. I can tell a difference in the core and chest for sure though.

Will be there soon enough. Any yall got plans for father's day? You know there's a high chance fantastic food will be served/cooked and may not eat any of it

I believe the fam is having steaks but they certainly won't be lean. And of course a nice baked potato that I can't have.

Can someone quickly ELI5 this diet to me?

I want to lose some weight with the SO and this is intriguing.

777 can probably do it better, and you need to skim/read the book (lyle McDonald's Rapid Fat Loss handbook)...its on the food board in the putadaforkdown thread.

But in a nut shell...High protein, low/no carb, low fat.

Some of the intricacies of the diet depend on your current body composition, which will determine your protein intake and Kcal deficit.

Father's Day will be 7 days in for me. I'm only going to eat from 3pm on that day. And I'm only going to eat meat. But I'm not going to be picky about the leanness. In fact, I'm smoking a pork butt and I WILL be chowing done on that. Gonna be tough enough to have to pass the BBQ sauce and bread. I don't think that's going to hurt me.

Sounds awesome. I'll take your mindset. Pretty sure the steaks will be Rib-eyes. Man, I would kill for a few IPA/stouts this weekend. I know it may be sad but probably the longest I've gone without alcohol in a long time. Cant remember when I took that long a break, usually have at least a few a week.

Calories/protein depend on if you lift weights and BF% but essentially you eat somewhere between 150g protein to 350g protein a day and then 10g of fat from fish oil. THats it pretty much.

Can also eat green veggies. but essentially is protein only as lean as possible.

like was stated below you, go read the book.

I'm trying to hold out for Sunday...no real reason other than trying to push my will power.

This morning was tough, daycare had donuts with dad and I sat there and cut up donuts for my kids. I think I started sweating at one point.

I get it. I'd kill for a beer right now. Not sure what I will do Sunday. Maybe 2 Ultras.

Kinda sad sitting here on Friday not thinking about dinner on Sunday.

Day 7. Gained a pound. Not sure again if it's water or not but didn't cheat at all this week. Calorie intake was probably like 800 tops. Total loss for week is 4-5lbs.

I also don't have much to lose though.

Lunch was easier than I thought. Two chicken breasts covered in salsa and 10g of low fat shredded cheese.

Easily the best grilled chicken I've had this week.
