I’ve battled it for the last 4-5 years. Last year it completely went away and I thought I was in the clear. Well in the last month it has flared up horribly. The only thing I haven’t tried for it are the shots. (Humaria, Taltz, etc) I don’t want to go that route because of the side affects. Does anyone else have things that have worked?

Diet is everything to keep it under control. No refined sugars especially. Unfortunately dairy is a trigger as well. Also, Coconut Oil helps if applied everyday. The pure and unrefined stuff.

I would suggest at least talking to a doctor about treatment. The rash is unsightly, but psoriatic arthritis can be debilitating.

I have it. It's better in the summer, and I've found hiking and being outside really helps it.

The cream you get at Walmart is good.

I get it on the top of my head, I get a foam from the dermatologist that does a good job of knocking it out

T/Gel shampoo used like a lotion. Let it sit for 5 minutes before rinsing off.

Have you ever heard of the autoimmune protocol? Try this website: Paleo Mom Other books are the Wahls Protocol, Autoimmune Fix, and Plant Paradox. I am not an expert on psoriasis, but I believe if you fix the gut, these issues should clear up.
Follow the AIP diet at first. It’s basically Whole 30 without coffee, eggs, night shades (potatoes, tomatoes, jalapeños, peppers) and tree nuts. These can be added back later, if they do not trigger symptoms. Take a good probiotic (mine is Raw Probiotics Men - 85 Billion cultures), vitamin D, fish oil (make sure it doesn’t include non compliant oil), and possibly glutamine (I don’t take it, but I hear it’s good for gut health). Try to limit stress (walking, meditation (headspace app) and yoga) and maximize sleep (7-8 hours) if possible as both of these can lead to leaky gut. Symptoms should start to subside after trigger foods such as wheat and dairy are removed from the diet. This is a tough diet to follow, with 10-12 servings of fruits and veggies a day required. You can do it though, and it can’t be worse than debilitating pain or medication with side effects. I hope this helps.
