I am. The thumb has healed up, but the baby isn't sleeping at night.

I may have to start doing lunchtime workouts. But my clinic stays so damn busy that it would be tough for me to sneak out for an hour. But it may be my last resort.

Finished up The Mullet 1 this morning for my first PPSA program. Followed it to the T, didn’t miss a work out and didn’t sub any lifts.

Overall I really enjoyed it. After scanning through several other programs I think this one may be one of the “easier” ones. Having come into it not really ever having done dead lifts idk if it was a good or bad idea to choose a program that has some kinda variation of deads every single day but I feel like I took to them really well and I really enjoy them now.

I feel like I’ve definitely gotten a bigger more broad back and thicker shoulders. Legs maintained pretty well, also. Arms are bigger. The only area I’d say this program was lacking is chest. You do heavy BB bench on mondays and light BB bench on Thursday’s and that’s pretty much it so feel like I lost some ground size wise on chest. Not a big deal, I understand these programs require sacrifices in other areas depending on which ones you’re running

I think the biggest thing I need to work on while running these is eating more. It was a m,t,t,f program that gave you off the weekend and by time I finished the last workout on Friday I’d feel huge but then would feel somewhat deflated by time Monday rolled back around. This could just be body dysmorphia but I know I need to focus on eating good and staying active on these off weekends.

Not feeling real beat up so planning on jumping into OAK TREE either this Monday or the following Monday. Not looking forward to these Farmers walks y’all keep talking about lol

I really liked Farmers walks and probably improved on those quicker than any other lift. The killer was when he put them in a SS after deadlifts and my grip was already gone.

Week 4 of arm farm continues to kick my arse. I’m 99% sure I’m not recovering fully. I’m pretty sure it’s because we placed an emphasis on adding weight to push-ups, chin-ups and dips.

//edit: my top set of 5 rep squats today was my Squatober PR.

Is anyone starting a new plan tomorrow or waiting until next Monday? This is kind of an awkward break in months here. I have one more day of Arm Farm then I think I’ll go straight into Simverback.

Day 1 of Oak Tree complete. Got humbled real quick on the DB latteral-DB curl to OH press super set. Those DB curls to OH press are grooosssss. Really liked the farmers walks, got to bust out my straps for the first time. Can’t wait for tomorrow

You can make this one anywhere from 5-7 weeks long, it’s 21 days. Going to run me right into week 1 of college football. I’m trying to be POPPIN out the dri-fit by time lsu-fsu kicks off

Seems like straps on farmer’s walks kind of defeats the purpose, baw.

Ahh ok so they’re mostly just targeting grip strength? I’ll keep’em on the shelf next time

Yup. Peter Attia preaches it, especially in his book Outlive, but grip strength is a broad indicator of your ability to protect yourself as you age.

With his male patients, he works them up to half their body weight in each hand for 1-minute. It’s a long term goal obviously but grip strength is something not to be overlooked.

I'm still working through Arm Farm again. My days in the gym have gotten sporadic, but I want to finish this before I tackle another.

I'll be wrapping up arm farm soon also. What's a good follow up for gaining shoulder mass?

All the plans I've seen have been pretty similar on shoulders from what I remember.

Pool season 1 hit shoulders pretty good: OHP one day; Seated db press one day; and then cardio is shoulder pumps every day.

Agreed. This one is pretty intense on the shoulders compared to his other stuff.

The farm flex is my favorite part of these.

Looking at silverback and it seems like it’s gonna be shorter than arm farm and less conditioning/accessory work but tough. 2 days of squats/bench/OHP and 2 days of deadlifts/rows every week.

Looking back at last time I ran it and it looks like it took about the same time as Arm farm. A little over an hour with a few days getting close to 80 minutes.
