Strongville W3D3 done. Skipped rest day and regretted it. Felt a pinch in my knee, but I’m pretty sure it was just a tight calf or hamstring muscle. Fingers crossed.

W3D3 DB

Went heavy on RFESS and boy were my quads screaming at me.

When y’all do one DB skull crushers, do you do it with one arm? Todays he didn’t say one arm because other days he says one DB and one arm. I don’t do anything if it’s not written in the plan

When he says use 1 DB I do it pullover style. I definitely feel it more when we use 2 DBs though.

Started Meat Wagon this week. Loving the super sets. Day one is a heavy leg killer. RFESS then heavy back squats is a beat down.

Ok that is what I did too. I was not straying from the sheet since he wrote it down. I definitely prefer one DB per hand.

I commented on this the other day. I don't like the 2arm/1DB Skullcrushers. It crushes my lower thumb and I dont get as deep of a rep. In JUJ, he specified the 2arm/1DB on day 1 and that was it. I just assumed that it meant to it that way throughout the whole plan. In Grasshopper, he specified BB Skullcrushers. I've gone back to doing them with the EZ-bar. I have a 10x10 tomorrow with them.

W3D4 Jacked Up Joker

Fairly quick day 75min. Squats weren't bad; heavy but manageable. Same with the bent rows. As expected, the hammer curls sucked! Sets 1 and 2 felt too easy so I bumped up to the next DB for set 3 and I felt it for the last reps. Went back down for sets 4 and 5 but the burn from set 3 was still there. Then finishing with the shrugs... Weeks 1 and 2 had 100 total shrugs per day. Weeks 3 and 4 have 150 on days 1 and 2 and 200 on 3, 4, and 5.

I did mine seated today instead of lying down and I think I liked that way better.

Leg day just finished up with some heavy farmer walks. Gonna go for a walk to recover and maybe take a nap :)

I did tricep kickbacks on the cables instead of dumbells today. I didn't like the way it felt.

If you have cable machine then overhead extensions are a good sub for skullcrushers. Especially when he prescribes high reps for them. When he has heavier sets I do ezbar though.

I wish I was good at posting pictures from Instagram, but that St. Patrick's day workout he posted looks intense. I'll have to give it a try this weekend!

That first superset seems like a logistical nightmare in a home gym haha

Still dealing with some lingering injuries but I started Sport Strength Day 1 today. I like the fact this one works in some sprints. Went super light and just focused on form. I still hate front squats lol

I was thinking about doing this one next Wednesday until I saw that.

I figure I’d either just do chest supported db rows or row with an ezbar

I guess that’s the line good thing about going to the gym. Hopefully it will be empty one day this weekend.
