Anyone ever ran a powerbuilding program? If so, which one?

Thinking about trying Ryan Fischer's program out for a few months.

Im assuming by powerbuilding you mean lifting heavy with the main lifts and bodybuilding with the accessories? That’s what most people think.

You could really do that with any strength program. Layne Nortons PHAT will do that. GZCL programs check your boxes. Want to spend some money on an app? Juggernaut is excellent, but damn is it hard.

Right now I’m running Stronger by Science strength programs. It’s squat, bench, deadlift, and OHP main lifts. Then a supplemental lift for main.

On the accessories I take a weight and try and hit 40 reps in 3 sets (with one minute rest). When I reach that goal I advance to 50 reps in 4 sets. When that goal is reached, I add 5lbs and start back at 40 reps in 3 sets.

You like the Stronger by Science? I think I actually have the program saved on my google drive.

I think the way Fischer does his is one week of bodybuilding and one week of powerlifting. I want to do the free trial to see how the setup works.

After doing PPSA app, I definitely prefer programming that is based on percentages of 1RM.

I think all the SBS programs are great. I don’t personally like the progression based on amraps versions. I do the original version based on RIR. I don’t like being punished for a bad day.

I haven’t heard of the program you mentioned but it sounds interesting. I’m very ADHD when it comes to working out so something like that I would probably enjoy.

You can try one of the Greyskull programs: Linear Progression or LCI.

You will see results on super squats. Not 30lbs of muscle in 6 weeks, that’s ridiculous. Also, if anyone runs it, don’t do it in a damn cut. Eat like an animal
