Day 17 of 70s Big done today. I was a little scared of 100 squats but it’s lighter weight and flowed pretty quickly. Three workouts left.

Any suggestions on which I should do after PS2 for cutting? Thinking hypertrophy or DB strength. Have already done pump city and PS 1

Officially jumping itt.
Started PS2 today and just finished W1D1.
I have a very good pump in my chest/tris right now.
My gym partner and I workout Sunday afternoon and in the am around 5:20 in my garage during the week. Our big goal with this plan is to try and get it done in under 1 hour. He has a hard out at 615 to be a dad. We may be shifting our start time to 5:10.

I haven't done Hypertrophy yet. I plan on starting that one at the end of April. I just finished DB Strength. If you push yourself with the fill-in-the-blank method, it can be pretty intense. There were a few Mondays where I didn't get decent sleep/rest on the weekends and it kicked my arse. I really enjoyed the plan, but it can be brutal. Mist days took me 1:15-1:30 (including ~10min stretch/warmup).

Day 1 down and it was easier than expected. No issues with the bench portion at all. Squat was a little off at first, but settled in comfortably on sets 2 and 3. Very pleased with the progress on chins. I completed sets 2 and 3 (5 rep sets) unassisted; far cry from where I started. Only real issue was with the rev grip BB curls. The outside of my left elbow felt a little tender/sore. That's something I'll need to keep an eye on over the next week or so.

Great session today. Bench was really smooth until the last set. I had a 'squirrel' moment and lost focus for a second. That caused me to have to adjust really quick before I lost the bar. For both the accessory superset and the cardio superset, I was second guessing my planned weights and thought I was a little over ambitious. They turned out to be perfect; not too hard or too easy. Very pleased in that regard. The cardio SS was a little bit trickier to plan my weights as a 3 move 4x20 SS takes a toll on you. The discomfort in my left elbow is still there, but I only really noticed it on the 1st rep of each set of hammer curls.
Running BACKside BUILT tomorrow to get some extra leg and back work in.

I've must not be working off the appropriate squat max. I'm nowhere near as drained as I expected I would be after 9 sets. I feel it more in the upper back and shoulders with the SSs than the legs. I'm still enjoying the program. My GP and I are down to about 1-1:15 rest to get this done in under an hour. No problem with that yet.

IG post BACKside BUILT
This one was fairly intense and focused on the back and legs (hence the name).
I started both squat and deadlift on the low end of the range and worked up to the high end on the last sets. Deadlift was great and no issues at all. Squat wasn't horrible, but it was a little sloppy and tempo was too slow. This is 3 sessions now where I haven't been happy with squat. Trying to decide whether to lower my TM for the rest of the month or stick with it and just not increase it next month. I'm leaning towards just staying with the current TM for the next 2 months instead of the typical 10# bump.
I stayed with the same weight for all sets of 1 arm rows. They felt like they actually got better the further into the sets I got. That was a nice surprise. For the RDL/Pendlay Row SS, I increased the weight for sets 3-5. It was an odd SS. The instructions say don't let go of the bar, but Pendlay Rows begin with the bar on the ground. Combine that with the setup transition between the 2 lifts and it was just a weird combination. Rows were the limiting factor on BB weight as I can g much heavier on RDLs than I can rows.
The last SS of rev grip bent rows and SLOW temp, high rep rear lats absolutely burned. First set wasn't too bad, second set I started to feel it, and the last 5-10 reps of the third set just sucked. I purposely went lighter than normal to slow the tempo down. Really glad I didn't start at my normal weight for this one.
SS1
Back Squat 5x5 @70-75%
Chin Up 5x3
SS2
Snatch Deadlift 5x3 @ 50-55%
1 Arm DB Row 5x5
SS3
BB RDL 5x5
BB Pendlay Row 5x5
*same weight; don't let go of bar
SS4
BB Rev Grip Bent Row 3x20
DB Rear Lats (SLOW TEMPO) 3x20

I had to rush the rests for bench this morning as I had a hard stop for a meeting. I kept everything at 90s. Even with the rushed rests on bench, the sets went well and I maintained pretty consistent bar speed throughout all but maybe the last set. I went a touch light on the chest supported row as I wanted to focus more on form rather than just heavy DBs.
Due to the hard stop, I saved the DB lats for last since I could complete those at home if I ran out of time. On the cardio superset, I could've gone heavier on the BB curls. I went conservative since I'm still dealing with some tenderness on the outside of my left elbow. (I saw the golfer's elbow thread and plan on trying some of those suggestions.) The pushdowns, curls, shrugs combination was nice.
I was able squeeze in the lat raises during the same session with ~5 minutes to spare. Going SLOW on that 4x25 set was absolute torture during sets 3 and 4. Even using 10# DBs to go slow to focus on form, had my shoulders on fire. I am NOT looking forward to weeks 3 and 4 where this goes to a 4x30 scheme!

I must not have eaten a big enough dinner last night. I was absolutely gassed this morning. We only did about 90 seconds rest during the first ss, so maybe that messed me up too.
By the end of the close grip/curl ss, I was woozy. I finished all the sets and shrugs with enough time to fit in a 5 min abs video.
I normally keep to a 16/8 IF schedule, but needed a protein shake after the lift this morning.
Excited for 2 rest days. I'll probably try to fit in a 5k during these next two days though as the weather warms up.

Pretty easy day today. Bench press was actually the easiest portion; even the 83% singles. Fighting tennis elbow on my left arm so I went a little conservative on the bent rows and rev grip bent rows. The weights on the cardio portion even felt perfect. It was enough to burn, but not so much that I couldn't complete the reps.

Hoodie 1 W2D4. Halfway through and really feeling it. I’m sore most of the week. I didn’t add in any legs today like I wanted to. I really pushed squats Tuesday with extra sets and weight and im still sore. Gonna do a lot of stretching this weekend and maybe hit some light legs tomorrow.

FOTH W2D3 done. I feel you JL, these workouts have gotten me sore. Especially Bi’s and tri’s from the make the sleeves tight section.
Really like it though. Probably going to run FOTH 2 next

Starting Arm Farm today. Really looking forward to this one. Next two after that will be Periodic Table and then my 2nd run at FOTH2.
Want to mix in something with a little more leg volume in between two upper body focused programs.

My favorite one. I always feel like I got a great workout when I left.
I'm starting Clean the House today. I am very nervous but excited about the cleans. I haven't done cleans consistently since High School

Knocked this one out early Friday morning, but didn't post due to an extremely hectic weekend.
I really liked the bench scheme today. Starting at sets of 10 and working down to a couple (decently) heavy singles felt great. Previewing the plan, every Friday starts this way and the singles get progressively heavier. Excited to hit those later in the plan as I know for sure I had more in the tank today. I went a little lighter on the bent rows and rev grip bent rows since I'm fighting tennis elbow in my left arm. Using a strict overhand grip (no thumb) on the skullcrushers helped with the elbow discomfort.

I had a little discomfort popup in my left shoulder during the first couple sets of bench. It mostly went away by the latter sets. I'm assuming this is from all the yard work yesterday. Squat was the smoothest it's been, which I was very pleased with. On the 1 arm rows, I upped the weight on sets 2-5 and it felt perfect; taxing but manageable. I went light on the rev grip barbell curls while I work on my elbow. Diamond push-ups were smooth with a consistent pace. Shrugs were heavy, I may go a step lighter next time to focus more on form and holding at the top a touch longer.
