I live on the silver comet trail. That is taken care of.

This is not meant to take the place of biking.

I don't get people's hostile feelings towards this inanimate object. It's just another spin bike helping people get a little healthier. My goodness the hatred for the Peloton ??

I wonder if these people yell at people who buy a treadmill too.

It’s in the 3 hour window for delivery.

Probably using the name Peloton, when a spin bike has nothing to do with real cycling.

These are the same "I can cook a steak at home for less money that is just as tasty" folks.

Generally, tight wads, that is all!

All set up. Very impressed. Did an intro ride and am going to do the 12:30 live ride here in 45 mins.

Another question, there isn’t any way my wife can ride to see if she likes it enough to get shoes of her own is there? Hell I am not sure most people would realize they need clip shoes if they buy only the bike.

Not unless you install pedals with toe cages on them.

Seems like you would be better off just getting her a pair of shoes.

Ok that live ride kicked my arse and seeing a woman in her 50’s in the top ten makes me realize how far I need to improve. I was happy to make it top 50%

Thanks for the follow back nurse

Finally finished with finals and ready to get back to riding again. Anyone used the new yoga classes? May start using them for post-ride stretching.

Mine will be delivered this Thursday. Will be interested how the instructors handle classes (keep the preachy bulls hit to a minimum).

I do about 4 spin classes a week at a local studio, but have a newborn now. Leaving work and getting to a spin studio is getting harder and harder each day, especially when the instructor(s) I prefer don’t teach until 7:30 some weeknights.

Will be nice not spending $175 a month for unlimited studio access, could have paid for a few peloton bikes over the past few years.

There are several different instructors. All with their own teaching styles. You will easily be able to find one that you like.

Try Matt Wilpers. He is straight forward in his classes(but really nice). He's a triathlete so he gives a lot of helpful advice about proper pedal stroke, etc. Him and Denis also do all the Power Zone training classes(which my husband really loves).

Enjoy the bike!

I am just starting out so am pretty new to everything spinning.

I will say I like the women instructors better overall. The Matt Wilpers guy is good but the British guy kept making mistakes on what he was telling us to do which made it a pain. The women are perky and seems like they are reading off a prompter even though they aren’t. Just good flow.

Scenery is obviously better with the women.

I prefer Zwift and Wahoo Kickr using my real bikes over Peloton. Peloton seems like marketing hype with lots of TV ads.

Same here, I ride 6 days a week on Zwift this time of year, plus it’s not expensive, but I don’t have a kicker. I just use a resistance trainer. I don’t see anything wrong with a peloton bike if someone is using it for fitness only, but as far as increasing your FTP and becoming a better rider, I wouldn’t advise it. Btw “ride on”, lol.

Bumping this thread in light of the other.

I like riding HIITs with Alex, Denis, or occasionally Cody Rigsby.

It’s amazing how far I’ve come in a month. It’s been a busy one, so looking forward for a quiet January of hard work on the bike.

Glad you like the bike. I haven't been able to ride as much as I would like. I had a 17 week ride streak going that I lost last week cause of numerous reasons

My husband just told me that Matt just put out a 4 week powerzone program under the riding programs on the Peloton so may check that out.
