I got covid last week... on the 2nd week of my "build" cycle, exactly a week after my recovery from the 62 miler I did 3 weeks ago
So I am on the mends and decided to run 10 miles every single day for 9 days, except for the 5th day - I will run 14-20 miles tomorrow.
Fun stuff, but today's run was actually pretty enjoyable, only 3 more weeks until my next 100 miler! Let's Go!

Dude something is going around. I've been sick on and off for the last month. I was going to blame the kid but he doesn't even go to daycare
My foot/ankle is like 95% better. I was able to do my normal workout today with no pain, just a little tightness. Hopefully a few more days of taking it easy will have everything fixed

10 Z2, 55 degrees and absolutely perfect this morning. First run since whatever sickness I had last week, nice having energy back again.

I had a very mild sinus infection that I thought was getting better…but then turned into sinusitis and now I can’t stop blowing green and yellow snot. So annoying.

Dude I've been varying levels of sick since the day after the Mardi Gras 5k. Some days just snot, some days a massive headache and joint aches. It's like a roulette wheel of illness

20 today with the local run group, it's usually at this point that I say, "so ready for recovery" ... But I still have 4 more days of 10 miles each :sigh:

7.25 run walk at a 13:00 pace

7 with the stroller, right at 10 pace. Everything is starting to bloom and my daughter's vocabulary is exploding, so it's absolutely priceless going on runs with her now and asking her questions about the color of flowers, how many etc.

My daughter makes me keep my pace up because she starts talking to the other runners and if I slow down she gets very angry because she wants to keep talking to them
I guess it goes without saying, but I only run with her during a few run clubs

Anyone coming to Georgia for the Bootlegger 100 this weekend?

Ive been trying to build mileage and slow way down on runs instead of running at 170HR every single run, but that gets demolished the 1 stroller run we get a week. The mid run snacks are legit though.

Man that was one of my choices, but my running group chose the Blue Heron instead... It was probably for the better though since I had covid a week ago and since healing up I've been able to drop 80 miles in 7 days as kind of a "endurance cram".
Only 2 more days to go, did 10 @ 8:34, not 100% sure where the speed came from but felt very strong today.

3.4 at 9:35 per. 1st run after blood donation always sucks.

8.5 @940ish with the stroller this morning. Had to stop a few times to let my daughter pick some flowers but we had a blast. I may try to do a half with her in the fall, she is handling the stroller better every time we go out.

12 on trails @ 10 flat pace. Haven't ran trails in a little bit and forgot how great some of the hills can be.

Bootlegger 100 done. Not as fast as I hoped. Completely fell apart with 25 to go. Ended up finishing just under 26 hours. Still... another buckle in the collection. Looking at maybe doing the Mamba 100 this fall in Memphis.

CCC is this weekend. I'm aiming for a sub-40 but I've still got some lingering foot pain that I think is some mild peroneal tendonitis. The weather is supposed to be bad but I think I'll still go out at goal pace and try to hang on as long as my foot and ankle hold up

Good luck. I couldn't sub 40 a 10k anymore if my life depended on it. The only one I still do every year is Peachtree
