Been there done that. Unfortunately it was my current wife got me into running, I do try to use that argument from time to time but doesn’t go very far

Where did you find great deal on adi pro 4? Cheaper than $150 on adidas site?

Think select sizes were on sale on the Adidas website but that was last month maybe. I see lots of pairs pop up cheap on therunningrack on Reddit.

That's a great sale, but how do I know if I need these? Are they only for people who don't suck at running? Race day? Low miles 3x/week?

Just checked Adidas eBay store. They have select sizes of Boston 12 for $61 after coupon. Sizes 7, 7.5, 8, 12. They run a half to full size long.

It’s a lot of people’s shoe of the year. Literally can do everything except maybe go 10+ miles comfortably…unless you are a strong runner. Funny too, every time Believe In The Run talks about the Evo SL, they mention Adidas did not design it to be a running shoe originally. Same for Asics and the Novablast. Two of the best running shoes to come out in the past 5 years.

Well, I ordered a pair. Can't pass up one that might work for me for less than 100, I always like to have the next pair ready for when the current ones start to hurt.

Well boys, just did my first run....errr....jog in 6 years. Had to stop running because of all the constant nagging injuries I would get which would mean I would run for about a month, get hurt and have to take 2-4 weeks off . I've been cycling and swimming so I'm actually in really great aerobic condition and I barley got my heart rate up on my jog. Only went about a mile and I'll see how I feel tomorrow. Also I thought I had some old running shoes in the closet but I guess I threw those out so had to lace up my Chucks and go ol' skool.

My size was sold out, shite!
I ran in the Vomero Premiums again and slowed my pace way down to 10:30. These shoes do really love to run slower. I really don't know how to describe the feel, they are super soft and tons of foam. This run was much better at this pace. I ran 5 miles and didn't even really notice it, that's how comfortable they were.

Adidas AP4 50% off at Shop Simon. Legit website, full size run. Have at it.
LINK
Edit: they also have the pink/white and white/teal AP4’s, Boston 13, Boston 12, SL2, and some Ultraboost 5. All 50% off. Can’t go wrong with any of those for 50% off. Hell, grab one of each and you can have a sweet rotation for a training block
Have also seen a bunch of BNIB pairs on Reddit for $135 shipped. Outlets must be loaded with inventory.

Also, @ks, looks like Adidas is doing a Terrex version of the Evo SL. Announced at TRE, due out next year.

The Boston Marathon Adidas Boston 13's look sharp! I can't link the pic for some reason, but if you like that colorway, you'll love them.

Run #3 in the Vomeros. I don't normally play by play my shoes, but I feel like these are so hyped that they need it.
I ran 10 miles at a 9:00 pace and man, I'm glad I gave these a chance. I guess they take a few miles to break in. I don't even feel like I've run, they were so comfortable. I now get the hype.
I've always hated Nike running shoes, they have never created a model that I liked. These are absolutely one of my favorite shoes now, I haven't even had a chance to run in the new Megablast!
They don't feel like they got heavier as the miles increased, but I'm also used to running in Glycerin GTS which are heavy as hell.
Overall, if you're on the fence about these, I'd give them a shot. They're definitely going into my regular rotation as my long, slow run shoes.
I only hope they last. It's a lot of foam.

Which Vomero? I have loved ones in the past, back to the 2s and maybe 6s. I have a 12 that I don't like running in but are great for wearing all day. Got them at an outlet for $60 so why not. Nike's have always fit me well, but I have been disappointed with them for running. That said, I have not gone crazy expensive like the Alphafly/Vaporfly. Tempted to though.

Premiums. I was buying the Megablast and the store had just gotten a shipment of them in. I got lucky because they they're pretty hard to find apparently.

Ran a local 8K this AM. Still bonking pretty hard. I think it’s the weight training that I started three weeks ago. I managed to maintain my HR this time, but I just didn’t have the energy. Oh well, I’m committed to try and gain some muscle and will continue the training.
Oh yeah, 3rd in my age group and 1 min off my PR for this race.
ETA: Ran this in my Xero HFS2s. They might have the same stack height and cushion as Chuck Taylor’s.
