Didn't you run a half last week? Pretty impressive running half PR in back to back weeks.

Good job man! 5k this morning finished 9th. Race was stacked.

Got 6th in a very not competitive 5k.

30 minutes got 6th if that tells you anything.

60% of the course was in mud and water.

I was keeping my 9 year old in the rear view so it would have been a bit faster but not by much. Topped out at 4:24 pace to catch a 50 year old man at the end though.

Yeah. All with a 2 week old. Been a challenge! Think I’m done with the races for at least a few weeks now. There is a Half in NOLA end of next month that is on the radar. Will probably hop in the BR Turkey Trot also, and am registered for the 10K Race to Death Valley beginning of Dec. Should about wrap up ‘18 for me.

Did a fun group run half marathon this morning. Ran through a couple of graveyards in the dark. Mild pace at 8:45.

Going back to the same place for a 5k Halloween race tonight... i won't be looking for a PR

It was crazy. In the 35-39, I got third if that tells you anything. With a little luck and training, I may get in the seventeens this year. That would be a real nice cherry on top for the one year anniversary coming up in December.

Forgot to mention that my Pizza Skechers made their debut today. My wife saw them for the first time as I’ve kept them in closet.

When she saw them she said WTF are those. Why are they on your feet.

When I sprinted at the end I felt them kick back a good bit.

Been away for a while. Work travel has been a bitch and got sick for about a week and had to take that week off.

Did 10 miles last Sunday and two 5 mile runs this week. Weather has been awesome in the evenings. Got 10.5 miles tomorrow.

About two weeks left till race day. Feeling pretty good about it.

Well, I got my race tomorrow. Been dealing with injuries all summer. So it will be more of a run/walk. This has been the most challenging and frustrating training I’ve ever done. I haven’t posted much but have appreciated everyone’s posts. Good luck to all of you guys!

Thanks. I've been on schedule outside of the sick few days. Its just been after work and running once I get back to hotel I'm spent.

Hit my 134th Marriott night this year last week. It's been challenging trying to stay on training schedule. But I've enjoyed finding new running paths in different cities. Glad I will be home next two weeks to stay in training schedule on the stretch run.

Update: ran the 5k in 21:15. 1st place 40-49 (only about 150 runners).

Today was the longest scheduled run before the race on the 10th. Ran 12.5 miles in 1:40:57 along the majority of the race course. My #1 goal was to hit a sub-1:50 half, so I think it's attainable.

I have a four-ish mile race later tonight after dark. I'm thinking I'll take it easy after today's run.

If you hit that time for 12.5, then you’ll blow away 1:50.

14 and some change today with the HR 140. Weird heat burst this morning. Came 47 mins in and stuck around for about 30.

Don't have another race until the 17th (15K) so I've got three weeks to get my crap together.

My remaining winter race season:

15K
5K
13mi Trail
25K Trail

Went by so fast.

20k easy run this morning at 9:59 average pace. Everything is clicking right now. My long easy runs are actually relaxing now and I look forward to it.
