ke to knock my runs out first thing in the morning before the sun is up. I typically wake up, pound 2 cups of coffee and a glass of water then start my run. Is this sustainable as the runs get longer? What's a good morning meal to just get going and not have to wait like 30 min after eating to start your run?
i do the same thing 525 wake up, slam cold brew, poop and go for a run. 4/5 days week.
peach, watermelon, or banana are what ill go for if I am running more than an hour.
once you start going an hour and half+ you might want to try a gel. Especially if you plan on using them in the race, just to see how your arse reacts to them.

3.5 at 8:35 per. 72, no wind at 530, 90% humidity. 167 average HR. I can't wait to feel 60 again. I'm going to average below 8 on my route by January 1, that's my goal. I've done it before, but 2 years ago.

15 miles this AM. Nailed the HR target of 140. This paced out in the 12min/mile range. Little slower than I would have liked but it was hot/humid/hilly out there.
Ate a big breakfast. About to nap. 5K tonight at 7PM. Not sure how to treat this race. Probably just run it as a recovery run and take it easy.

Went out a little faster than I would have liked. Guess I got caught up. Finished third in my age group. Not bad for the heat/humidity and having run 15 miles this AM.

I thought anything over half marathon was dumb?

Recovery day. Jumped rope for an hour at 125 HR. Core workout with Turkish get ups and kettlebell swings.

Humidity yesterday was life-draining. Being outside at any hour of the day is just so damn miserable right now.

7:45 is no joke. You racing?
Recovery day for me. Arm day at the gym this AM, then an hour on the slide board in zone 2.

If I'm lucky I get 3 runs/15 miles in per week

This shite sucks.
Just gotta embrace reality and deal with it. I always tell myself it’s not as bad as last summer. That helps

the rain in the last few weeks was such a pump fake. This week has been miserable

My Tuesday tempo run was pathetic. The heat here with the humidity is amazing. My dumbass is going again tonight. Hope the pacing and distance aren't too much. New group and I don't know how hard or far they go.

I normally do not mind humidity, but this high heat has been unbearable with it.
