When I'm trained up for marathon distance, I'm going to make the drive up there so one of you guys can pace me for a PR. Been meaning to revisit the park up there anyway.

Anyone have experience moving up in drop? I've been running on 6mm to 8mm drop shoes. I'm close to pulling the trigger on the Brooks Adrenaline 18s, but like most Brooks, they have a 12mm drop. Anyone with some pros and cons of moving up?

Still nursing the posterior tibialis tendinitis, but my bro is on mile 17 or so of Louisville Ironman run, Ave 7:47/mi.

I think they cut the swim short due to current.

I'm just throwing a tennis ball to my dogs. Can't wait to get back to running. Weather is here.

I go from 0 up to 12. It's funny feeling if I'm in lower drop for a long time, then jump up. But never got hurt. Have the other way though. I cant find many shoes in 8mm. Seems like a good in between.

Was a little tight this morning from yesterday’s 22 but have loosened up well

Really not sure what to think about for pace/ goal time for my race. St the beginning of mg training I was just wanting a sub 4 hours but now I feel like I should get under 3:20

that would be a helluva jump in goals

sub 3:20 is legit

Well I’ve never done a full so I didn’t know what to expect, and I had taken a few years off of running in which I got obese

Came back quicker than I expected and I’m down almost 60 pounds from a year ago

What is the elevation profile for your race? 3:20 would be an outstanding time regardless. What shoes you plan on wearing?

Think I’ll run in my Brooks Ravenna

Elevation isn’t bad

Today’s the day!

7 miles and 45 degrees. Rain and wet shoes. Got to use my NorthFace rain jacket for the first time and it worked great.

Coulda gone forever.

I forgot I bought some cold weather running gear last year at the end of the season.

Yeah I busted them all out and washed them last week when I saw these 40 degree temps coming up. crazy that I didn’t feel cold for one second of an hour run but when I got out of the car to the hotel my boys were tighter than a hooker’s butthole during mass.

4 miles yesterday. 2 miles today.

Feeling heavy this week. That 18 miler on Saturday must have taken a lot out of me.

45 degrees today.

Texas sucks balls from June to September, but October to May are money for running.

12 miles straight walking this morning. My right hip flexor was screaming on any downhill walk.

Any of you guys ever deal with a case of Metatarsalgia? I've been having rather acute pain in the ball of my foot, just below the second toe. Feels like I stepped on a acorn with no shoes and put all my body weight on it. Been feeling it for quite some time now, but I recently started running in Asics Dynaflyte 3s, which only have 12mm of forefoot cushioning. I'm going to park these and try running with some insoles for a bit. Any additional advice you guys can give?
