I'll be running as well, sandwiched between the 3:40 and 3:45 pace groups.

Jesus Christ, that’s moving.

Hoping to break 90 minutes this weekend, so a 6:51 pace for 13.1…

Anyone else running LA Marathon full or half?

Sprints on the treadmill this morning (6 x 0.25 mi at 7:16/mi pace with 0.25 mi rest interval). I have two more runs left before race day on Sunday. They are simple tempos of a 10-minute warmup, 3 at marathon pace (9:09/mi), and a 10-minute cooldown.

Well I was planning to be there but looks like I will be deferring. Went to Urgent Care Saturday for sinus problems. Tested negative for Covid via Rapid Test, Nurse Practitioner diagnosed me with a sinus infection.

Three days later I'm worse off. Tried running yesterday and couldn't make it more than a mile before I was gassed and couldn't catch my breath. Going back today for PCR test but I'm pretty sure I have Covid now.

I am sorry to hear that man.

I would try and offer advice but I don't know the first thing about Covid and sinus infection recovery.

Maybe you will be better in time for race day?

I was sick around the New Year and my running has been crap since the . My HR is a solid 10 bpm over where it should be the last couple of weeks.

I'm still holding out hope. Went to get a PCR test done about an hour ago so now I wait until maybe Friday to find out.

Tempo this morning. The temperature was 35 degrees, which should be the approximate temperature at race time on Sunday.

10-minute warmup (1.02 mi)
1 mi at 9:07
1 mi at 9:11
1 mi at 9:07
10 minute cooldown (0.95 mi)

I have another tempo (same format) scheduled tomorrow morning.

kballa, how you feeling baw?

Let me ask you experienced runners some questions:
1) I drink a Tailwinds recovery shake after every run. It has 43 g carbs in it. I am eating pasta tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday night for dinner. Should I try and eat more pasta? I figure I'd have enough carbs loaded, but I want to make sure.
2) Is it okay if I eat steak the night before the race or should I stick with something leaner like fish or chicken?

Hey, baw. I'm doing good. A little nervous for the run, but it's nothing more than butterflies. I want to beat my time goal, and I've trained hard to do it, so I'm confident.

Looks like it’ll be a cold one. Weather showing windchill in the 20s for start of the marathon.

Yep. I'll toss the long sleeve shirt a mile 1 and the gloves at mile 5, I bet
