Did 7 x 1000 meters on Tuesday. I have only really done 600 meter fast runs before..the extra 400 meters was a bitch and took me by surprise on the toll it took on me. I was feeling it on the 5,6 and 7th ones.

Doing 5 x 1000 today. Then 7.50 run on Saturday.

Ordered some Altra (sp?) Torin shoes Tuesday. Wish they were here now. Patience isn't my virtue

Have you run in zero-drop shoes before?

Zero drop shoes can be brutal on the Achilles if you don't slowly introduce them into your running schedule. I went from a 6MM drop to zero and had to go back. I couldn't take the beating.

Today was hills, so a 9:20 mile warmup (downhill), then three hill runs (0.15mi distance)
1:09
1:13
1:12
followed by a 9:39 mile run home. Yesterday was a 5 mile after work run @8:41 pace, and Tuesday was 3 miles @8:42 pace after work.

Hill runs better be worth it, cause they are kicking my arse.

I am only walking right now (very seldom do I run)

But to answer your question, no I have not run in zero drop. Hoping that starting to get used to them by walking will progress into running with them eventually.

4 miles. 7:45 pace. Definitely not on purpose.

So curiosity got the best of me after I got a cheap pair of Skechers and I went for and got another pair that was dirt cheap and looked to be more speedy.

Not proud of the look but damn they were responsive. No idea how they are for long runs but they were definitely made for tempo.

To boot....

I would wear the hell outta those. I’m intrigued. Who carries them? How cheap we talking?

Skechers GOMeb - Indulge

I can’t find them anywhere but eBay. No reviews online. They were $30 at Burke’s outlet.

So much for good rest. Had my alarm set for 6:30 to sleep in. Body woke up at 5.

That’s five straight nights of 6 hours of sleep or less.

i need to get back into that rhythm, although more like 9pm to 4:30am. My days have been wrecked with crazy work crap and I end up doing work in bed until midnight.

Still resting foot. i didn't feel it at all during my 26.2 Sunday but next day it was a little swollen and sore, and it is still just a tad off.

Been swimming and biking and doing pushups. The dew point hit 75 degrees yesterday. I can't wait for the first breath of air that doesn't feel like I'm trying to breathe underwater.

Must run tonight!

i'm sleeping on the couch with my wife while she's recovering from surgery, so my wake up and go schedule is pretty messed up right now. and if i wake up at 4:30 to go run, she's going to beat me when she can walk again.

i'm just cobbling together runs at my kids practices and other outings when i can.

I feel you. I’ve been working a ton and shift work has been kicking my arse more than normal lately, in regards to sleep. Most days go like this: up at 2:20 am to be at work for 4:00, off at 4:00, home for 5:00. Getting a run in thereafter if I need to. Either that or work nights which I only average about 4-5 hrs of sleep and have to squeeze in a run mid day. I have no doubt lack of sleep and the heat/dewpoint have been affecting my performance to a large degree. Oh well, enough bitching. Better days ahead!

No run planned today, so hit the gym instead. Work tonight.

finally found the update of the shoe. not as flashy but it's got nothing but good reviews.

GoMeb Razor 2018

pretty much the exact same specs.

13.2 miles.

Pretty big milestone for myself. This is the furthest I've ever gone without stopping/walking. My legs and feet are shot right now, but it was totally worth it. Now I get to try to top that and progress even further
