Jelly. I've been wanting to try those. I do love my Power Beats Pro, but sometimes I get annoyed with something in my ears.

11 miles left until I hit my first 100 mile month.

My previous high was 74.3 miles.

Go get it! I hit 120 for the month yesterday. Planning on ~15 more before Friday.

May seem very low but I will hit 20 miles in a month for the first time ever. I started the month just trying to get out and move and 1 mile was not something I could run completely. Now I'm getting 1.5 miles per run and planning to throw in 2 mile runs. Thanks to this thread for some motivation for sure.

That’s awesome! Keep pushing, you’ll be signing up for 10k’s and half’s sooner than you think.

Did my first tempo run ever today. A quick four miler:

1 - 9:29
2 - 7:51
3 - 7:48
4 - 9:25

Felt good baws. Easy six tomorrow and Wednesday.

Anyone ever ran in Watercolor or on 30A? Pretty runner friendly? Might be there this weekend. Considering doing my long run Friday morning so I can have a full, relaxing day on Saturday. My other option is to run in Watercolor Saturday morning. The issue with that is I’ll probably be up late on Friday.

There is a nice paved running trail all along 30 A. I have never started in watercolor but have run from Blue Mountain Beach several times. Hopefully, I’ll be there at the end of May.

I have not but I’ve been out that way a few times and seems like it would be a great place to run. Lots of paved sidewalks and a lot of trails near Seaside between 30A and Hwy 98(?) I believe.

I'm assuming that 4x4x48 was a huge boost to help you hit 100 for the month. Are you going to try it again in May?

8x800's this morning. Fastest was 3:33, and for the most part stayed consistent between 3:35-3:45. I could have pushed harder on the earlier ones and got consistent 3:35.

I wish I had been tracking these better over the last 6 months. The last time I did 6x800's I was in the 4:00 avg range but didn't collect real data.

I’m gonna fall just short of my 100 mile April goal (96 miles). I’m not mad though. The Wednesday I took off was good for my body.

I think I’ve figured out my May running plan:

Monday - 4 - 5 mile tempo run (fast miles at 7:35ish and slow miles at 9:30ish)
Tuesday and Wednesday - 7 miles slow (9:00-9:30ish)
Saturday - 9 miles long (8:35 pace, which is pretty much my marathon pace goal - gets me in under 3:45:00)

In June I think I’ll add either another medium distance/pace day (maybe 5 miles) or do intervals rather than tempo runs.

Damn. I picked a bad time to take a break from the thread.

I took 5 days off between the rain, not sleeping Friday night, and just plain laziness. It sucks too, because I had really hit my stride again. I was at about 30 miles a week and starting to really get some hill workouts and fartleks in consistently.

This is like the third time this year that I went off the rails with my training. Anyhow, I got back out on the road this morning. My only real goal this week is to run at least 4 miles a day.

Officially hit 100 miles today for April.

I'm pretty pumped. I've only been running for a year, and the improvement in my heart rate data has been great. I would live in Zone 5 when I started, but now I barely touch zone 5 with a faster pace.
