You left me in the dust at the spirits 5k. I finished at 23 flat. Somehow that was good enough for first in the 30-39 age group. Are you doing the red River 10k in March ? I just signed up yesterday.

If you're only running three days a week and your goals are to improve your time and fitness, one run better be a threshold/strength run, one should be a speed workout, and the last should be a long run. If your goal is just to finish, you'll be fine on three runs doing whatever you please. Again good luck on that 15K, that's a really fun distance.

Three miles in 24:25 today. Glad I could run outside.
Two miles tomorrow, three Wednesday, and six on Saturday.
I’m also gonna make boudin and boudin balls and drink some ice cold Milldawgs and Ole Buddys after my run Saturday.

I plan on running it. Only thing that would keep me from doing it is my daughters soccer. I coach her team and the spring schedule is not out yet. I know we will be playing that day I’m just not sure of the time.

Long run is Saturday. 10+ miles at an 8:30-9:30 pace.
Tuesday is 6 miles and is a similar pace.
Weds is speed work. Alternates between 800’s at race pace (below 8/mile) and tempo runs at 8/mile.
Goal is to get to 7 min miles.

Trying to start the new year off on the right foot (or both feet, technically). Had a long hiatus from running, and it's proving to be not as easy to jump back into as it was when I was younger.
Have tried starting out with just building some decent weekly mileage through some easy runs, but surprised at how slow "easy" pace is now. This time it's gonna take some work!

Where in Arkansas is that?!?!??
Two miles in 16:20 today. Left shin is a little sore. Glad to be running outside though.
Three tomorrow, six Saturday, and I’m dreaming of the boudin I’m gonna make and beer I’m gonna drink afterwards.

Little ways outside of Arkansas
The running community here seems impressive, never seen so many people running all hours of the day

Missouri?!?! That's beautiful! Must be on the Lake of the Ozarks.
It was always my understanding people in Missouri are fat and don't run, not that there is any place to run anyways.

They’re super active
If you have additional time to run: I really enjoyed running across the bridge to the other side of the harbour. Decent ridge starting just off of the bridge to get in some elevation. Saw lots of people running the cliffs at Bondi which looked cool if you get the chance to get out of downtown. If you’re going to Melbourne, the tan around the Botanical Gardens is very famous, popular, and interesting to run around.

We are going to be in Australia until the 8th. May try to run every day!
Not sure what all areas we will be in, kinda playing it by ear depending on how fires are. Sydney for 4 more nights.

People do this on purpose?
Birmingham has no shortage of elevation. In fact, some of the 5Ks downtown advertise themselves as flat courses. There's a 10K in the next month or two that they routed to be mostly downhill (Bham Wine 10K).

I've actually used the inclines below overpasses for hill sprints before. There aren't many natural hills in the part of Kansas I live in.

Bad street taco?
Does anyone know of a 10k in February in South MS or around NOLA (excluding the Rock n Roll)?

I don’t know what it is. Stomach has been cramping all day. I was afraid I’d have to shite while running.
Check Gulf Coast Running Club. They usually have some. I may try and run their 10K in April.

I’d have to go in someone’s bushes where I run. Thought I was gonna have to do that tonight, but got lucky.

The near total lack of hills is one of my least favorite running-related things about where I live. Gets so monotonous

I got into something rotten. It’s been awful since lunch. Just took some Immodium.
Sorry for giving y’all the play by play on my shits
