I had a polar many years ago and I can't deal with a strap. Thanks for the replies, some good info. I'll keep you posted.

Putting out an APB for Las Vegas Tiger.

I fly in Monday really early so I can go hit a run at Red Rock but am pretty free every day till Thursday early or in the afternoon if you’re still interested.

I've been training for a marathon, which is Sunday, but when I train for 5k and 10k races, I find it very beneficial to several sprints.
For example, run 6-8 of quarter mile sprints. Fast as you can. Then walk the next quarter mile. Repeat. If you do 8 sprints, that will be a total of 4 miles.
Take note of your pace during the sprints. In the past, I'd run about a 23 minute 5k, around a 7:30 or so pace.
During my sprints, I tried to run in the 6:30 pace range.
You may be much faster, so adjust accordingly.

Good luck today, Brah. Favorable weather it looks like. What pace are y’all shooting for?

Got a trail run in sleet and ice this morning. Wasn’t going for pace or anything but branches were covered in ice and hanging low and made it a bit more of a hike Came out smelling like a pine tree.

Also had Indian last night. That was fun mid-run. Always bring napkins.

Good luck to all RnR runners.

Yowza! Yeah, I had a black bean/brown rice/avocado bowl before speed work the other day, with extra beans. shite got real, real quick.

Edit: Burt is an animal. Had to do a double take on his pace for his 8K this am.

Yeah. Just saw that. Crikey.

You’re a monster JC. Looks like there were some other monsters with him.

Curious of his opinion on those Razors after busting out that bad boy.

Thanks guys. There’s a ton of race monsters around here. The female that finished third is a pro triathlete. Couple of those other guys are semi professional triathletes/ or high school studs then the other half of the top ten are hobby joggers like myself.

Felt good. I wanted to establish my threshold pace and hold it so I’m happy with the splits. I might be ten seconds faster but I was caught in no man’s land after moving from the second pack early and that’s where I remained.

Officially 29:21; we’re getting there and I couldn’t do any of it without you guys and your support.

Also 3, zoom flys. Sorry.

You changed them from what you had on there earlier in my defense.

But really great job man. I’m super impressed with you and hogbody’s work the last month.

HR indicates you may have had a fair amount left in the tank huh? I see you mentioned it above.

Any of you Strava Baws see where you can input your all time PRs and link the race results to it? Thought that was pretty neat. In addition to Strava estimating your best efforts.

Go to your profile on the website. On the right hand side, mid page there's a place to enter your PRs.

Thanks 3

Yeah I’ve done it. Was just spreading the word unless others wanted to do it. I think it’s interesting to look at the PR races, placing etc.

I actually feel pretty good about myself this week because I didn't buy a pair of shoes. Couldn't make it a whole week without anything though, ordered a pair of socks and a hat earlier.

How about PHB? PRs all over the place. Rough one too because of the direct east wind. Dude kicked some arse.
