That’s probably what’ll end up happening. I’ll most likely set my watch to vibrate outside of about 7:45-8:03. That’s what’s been working in training

That always pisses me off when I set it and forget to disable it on runs I’m not going for a pace. I usually forget to turn it back on.

Yeah it’s aggravating at times, well, most of the time. But if not I’m looking at my damn watch the whole time. Used to set it for HR zones, talk about drive you nuts.

The drop in miles/intensity is what I needed. I feel like I've made a breakthrough. BRM is gonna have a fast year if I'm lucky enough to stay healthy.

Any of you baws have a treadmill at the house? It probably won't happen this year but next year I'm wanting to get into 80 plus miles a week. This means running twice a day and I'm not willing to bare the risk of running the mean streets of NWA. If you got one, do you love it? What brand? Less than a grand?

People get murked here weekly on the roads by distracted/drunk drivers and I want to double my runs without doubling the risk.

TIA

Dammit. I'm supposed to do a long run today, 18 miles, and I have the shits this morning.

Having to take a shite and being out on the streets jogging is a terrible combination.

Run trails. Plenty of cover and leaves for wiping. And if you get spotted you can just claim to be a hobo or retreat into the woods.

Coming from me, who had uncontrollable diarrhea last week, while on trails.

Got to experience that wind today. 20 MPH and unavoidable. Went to a trail enclosed by trees hoping to avoid it and that just ended up funneling it. Bluh.

Keep checking the weather for next Sunday thinking something will change. Only thing changing is the fuggin wind increasing! Looking like 12-15 mph as of now. Feels like of 26 at race start. Might have to break out the tights!

I had it in my mind your race was tomorrow for some reason. Initial outlook not great. But you might be able to take a little comfort in knowing a lot can change with weather forecasts in a week. The weather report here from yesterday was pretty much wrong for today.

I’ve got 10 in the morning and the wind is currently howling.

Not really looking forward to it TBH

Oh yeah, for sure. It's all good. I normally overdress up top when it's cold/windy, which sucks. I'm thinking about just wearing something cheap/old that I can just throw away on the course if I get too hot.

Work got in the way majorly this week (here now), so mileage will take more of a dip than I planned. Only a few easy runs planned for this coming week as well. Hoping to get plenty of rest/sleep which I feel will help most at this point.

10ish too!

Wind was blowing but it wasn’t shifting and it was 10mph less than it has been so I’ll take it.

About to ease back into my normal schedule this week.

ETA: Anyone else’s garmin and Strava acting up?

Ugh looking at all these runs is killing me. I've been fighting some flu like thing all week. Aches and slight fever enough to where everything hurts. Make it stop soon.

10 miles this morning. The wind wasn’t so bad since I ran most of it before the sun came up. The wind didn’t start really blowing till the sun started peaking.

Don’t know time or pace. Just ran.

Feeling strong for next weekend though. Just hope the weather cooperates. It’s probably going to be a muddy slop either way.

Lake Bistineau State Park

When...not where

It’s next Saturday. Since I opted out of the LA Marathon, I figured the least I could do was run something on that date.

Gotcha. What kinda mpw were you running when you were training for the Fulls that you've done? Starting to skim some plans for either end of this year or this time next.
