Haha. Married with children. I blame them for not running 5 or more days a week, but it's actually bc I'm old and in pain most of those days.

Married, no kids and I’m in software so my work schedule is whatever I want it to be as long as my stuff is done.

that makes me feel a little better. i'm married with kids (about to have a teenager... at 35 )

i'm in technology as well, so my schedule is pretty loose, but my family's vibe isn't conducive to me being out for hours at a time to do the long runs. most of my really long runs are started around 5 AM so i can be back in time to get kids ready for school.

if you notice, a lot of my runs are all over texas as my job gets me to travel. lets me run cool places, but for the most part, i don't get to run that long because i usually have to be somewhere by 8 in the morning and don't get done with jobsites till 6 or later. every now and then i'll pad my travel to where i can have a long run in some places like the mountains in El Paso or near some state parks, but that's dicey to not do that in a way that my wife knows i'm purposely taking time away from them or to fraud my company of money.

I love running on work trips. I've run in El Paso a few times. One of my favorites is Albuquerque NM, in the Scandia foothills or along the river. In St. Paul/Minn I ran along the river and another summer trip I ran on a cross country ski course. If I have an overnight, I am finding a run.

Hogbody, what kind of strength training and routine are you doing? I need to incorporate some in my training.

You'll be doing good if you can get anything out of him other than "push Monday/pull Thursday".

Anybody who follows the Coconino Cowboys, Walmsley and the Flagstaff crew -- looks like Tommy Rivers is doing Houston also, but doing the Full. He recently won RnR LV with a time of 2:25:00. He won RnR AZ 2017 also with a time of 2:19:00. Wonder if they can sweep the HTown races with Jim doing the Half.

I'd like to see both of these guys in the Olympic trials.

I’d love to see those guys make a splash.

With no offense meant to him, I’m over Galen Rupp.
