Right, but that’s an effort thing.

You asked this question:

quote:

Then are there really people who don’t “track” who regularly go to the gym?

To which you were given two direct answers and then you moved the goal posts to talking about “effort”

Weren't you the one who called me a dick because I wouldn't train people who wouldn't log their workouts?

After trying many different apps on their free trials I never found one I liked until I started using the app Setgraph about two years ago to track my workouts. I love it. $30/yr but worth it for me. It’s simple to use and the updates they provide every few months are relevant and useful. Def recommend

I only remember it because you were being more of an a-hole than usual about it. Like multiple, almost unhinged, posts.

I didn’t say he was.

Yes there’s plenty of lifters who don’t track nor are interested in progressive overload. The best always track

Uh huh.

Then you followed it up with this gem

Claiming to not be a pretentious a-hole was the cherry on top.

Man, you were in a bad mood that day. Did Denny’s run out of high chairs or something?

Are they just randomly putting the pin in, is that what you’re telling me? Again, I willfully admit that there are real retards out there (I see them on this board quite a bit), but really, people who go o the gym on a daily basis don’t remember where they put the pin in two days ago?

I’m sorry, I doubt it. Again, that’s an effort thing, so I’m not moving any goal posts. Look, you’re being pedantic, and that’s cool. I’m sorry I (and others in this thread) offended you by not being expressly on point by what I meant by tracking (especially in the context of the conversation about apps and writing everything down). I will try to do better for you in the future, Mingo. Really, I will. I promise. Sincerely. No kidding, I will do it. I mean it.

I've been using the paid version of the Hevy app and quite pleased with it.

It dumbfounds me that there are people who don’t track what they do at the gym. How do they know if they’re improving?

if i had to write down what i do in the gym, or had to wear headphones, or gloves, or brought my phone in I wouldn't go to the gym.

it's just not that complicated of an activity. just pick some weights up and push them or pull them. if it's easy grab more weight if its too hard take some weight off. that's been my plan for about the last 30 years and it's worked wonders for me.
