I’ve been blending up a green drink every few days: Kale, Apple, Ginger, Maca Powder, Coconut Water, Apple Cider Vinegar and Blueberries.

I started with an old bullet style Ninja, but it isn’t powerful enough to fully blend everything to a smooth texture.

I was considering a Vitamix (refurbished are $299) but I was at Costco on Sunday and they had a Ninja Pro 1000 for $70.

I figured I would try it out. If it sucked, bring it back and get a Vitamix in the future. It did a nice job of blending everything to a smooth consistency in my first usage so it looks like I’m sticking with this one.

If anyone is looking for an alternative to a Vitamix that won’t break the bank, try the Ninja Pro 1000.

I have had 3 ninjas. Bought a vitamix a few months ago. It’s 110% worth it. You can blend anything and it will come out smooth. Easily my favorite kitchen device and I use it every day, sometimes multiple times.

Vitamix is the last blender you will ever buy. It will last forever and you will be so happy with it!! I bought mine over 6 years ago and it was worth it! I have a friend who has had one 20+ years.

My ninja went to the curb the first time I tried a Vitamix.

That's the model I have and use it every day. It's well worth the money. Costco has the best deal too. There is no comparison with any Ninja.

Same here. The Ninja 1000 does exactly what I want and didn’t cost $300+.

Those who have Vitamix blenders will, of course, say, they are awesome and better than anything out there, because, well, they paid $300+.

I can afford it, but if one does a good job compared to the other, why spend the extra money?

I tried smoothies with my ninja before buying a Vitamix. It was garbage. Now this was a few years back, so the newer ninjas may be better. I would have to strain smoothies from the ninja to get the small solids out. 100% liquid out of the vitamix, no matter what you put in.

I had a small ninja bullet that I blended smoothies for a while, and it mixed everything well without any small unblended chunks.

When I started blending a green drink recently with fresh kale, it had issues, but this 1000 model blends it completely.

Like I said in the OP, I bought the Ninja 1000 to try out. If it sucked, I would have returned it and bought a Vitamix, but it worked very well so I kept it.

It’s all preference. I hate having a chunky smoothie, and the ninjas I had sucked, but they weren’t high end ninjas.

I bought the vitamix because I didn’t want to keep buying blenders. In my opinion, it was worth the money. Other people may disagree. Vitamix is a freaking beast though, but like the other comments, for $500 it better turn a crowbar into powder lol

Same here, got a ninja, use it every day for smoothies and cannot imagine I would need anything more.

I got my vitamix ascent yesterday! It is legit awesome. Way better than the ninja I had. Texture is way better. Got it for 320 and it has a 10 year warranty.

I’ve got a Nutribullet handmedown. It has literally never not done anything I’ve asked it to. And I throw all kinds of stuff in there.
