What is your age? Did the Doc give you a reason for not giving you TRT?

Shouldn’t need it in those ranges

Try boron at 9-12 mg every morning. And reduce xt from sns 2 caps upon waking, then 1 at 9.

See how that helps

Free test matters more than total. What was it?

dont worry about increase in estrogen in blood work, worry about how you feel

I have a question on this. Totally understand the "how you feel" approach. However, I wasn't feeling much of a change even though my test levels (total and free) had increased sufficiently. My estrogen levels were more than double what the clinic said should be the high end of average. I wasn't necessarily having negative side affects, but wasn't seeing anything majorly positive after going from below normal range to the highest levels of normal. Taking a blocker and now feel more energy in the gym and at jiu jitsu. But that's also because I really started working out more since starting TRT and maybe my fitness is just catching up. Hard to say if the estrogen blocker is helping that.

I will say that the possible physical side affects of high estrogen scared me. I know they may not happen for a majority of people, but I don't want to deal with gynecomastia and not know until it already starts.

Sales pitch? It literally cost me like $4 for a 6 month supply from a pharmacy not affiliated with them. No extra costs on blood tests, etc.. They make no money whatsoever.

And yes, I know you don't want low estrogen as that's going to have negative affects. Again, I was well over double the max end of the average range.

My provider. I got my results through a patient portal. I am waiting for them to call me today with a path forward. I am over weight and can’t shake it and I have no energy all the time. My level was 90 it said on my test. Fairly active, chase a lot after my young kids. And I’m 37. I do not hit the gym
I am not having bedroom issues tho.

i find providers tend to start you out on lower dosages. i think that's good thing. i went with a clinic and they started me at 180 and bumped me to 200 mg a week pretty shortly after. then threw anastrozole and gonadorelin at me. i wish i had known a little more and was less trusting going into it. my libido and got crushed and ED was a real issue. my numbers were always "ideal". Everyone doesnt do well at "ideal" numbers though. long story short after getting jerked around every which was and consulting with other clinics ive been lowering my test and dropped everything else. improvements in mood, libido, ED. im still working on a sweet spot but probably will continue to lower test dosages. wish i would have started backing down on test significantly sooner.

TLDR: start slow and with moderate test dose, if you have issues dont be afraid to back off dosage wise.

again doesnt matter. you will hold small amounts of water no matter what, levels will stabilize and lower and unless you are showing symptoms like itchy nipples, emotional, etc than shouldn't be taking an AI on trt.

Mine went from 1100 to 650 in a year. Am I growing a clit where my penis was? Should I be concerned?

I’m dosing .6 to .7ml per week and I need to reduce it.

A few weeks ago, I had my weekly injection on Tuesday evening and had a physical with blood work on Friday.

Other than elevated liver enzymes that have been up and down these last 5 years, everything else looked good.

Overall test, though.. 1340

Shouldn’t be concerned at all. 650 is great for our age. Hell mine is between 700-800 while on trt

I know it’s still in the range but how can it swing so much in a year?

it can swing like that week to week even day to day, its more of a snap shot than anything.

but stress, overall recovery from a hard workout, alcohol, how much you slept etc etc

think about it like this, if you drank hard on saturday night, got bloods done monday and it showed high liver values....you would be like oh shite that one night hit me hard, but you wouldnt worry about it to much.

similar to test levels

i would be more concerned about free test anyways. I recommend everyone over 30 but especially our age to get on 9-12 mg boron in the morning.
