Went to chiropractor today for a lingering, severe case of neck stiffness. Chiropractor said I’m the stiffest 28 year old he has ever seen. Pretty depressing so I’m seeking to change that.

Does anyone know of any way to help with this outside of stretches and cold packs? Any devices or braces I can buy that would provide some relief?

Foam roller and a lacrosse ball helped with my neck pain.

Oddly enough I find swimming helps my 3 herniated discs in my neck, it’s the blood flow that the cardio using that area contributes.

Proper stretches and exercises are probably the most important thing you can do. If you work at a desk look into improving its ergonomics.

Tons of good videos on YouTube. I have stenosis and 2 protrusions, stretching and strengthening my neck is as important as breathing for me.

Focus on foam rolling out your lat & trap muscles

And constantly be aware of your posture. While youre texting, while you’re sitting & standing, while you are sleeping

This. You don't realize how much you look at your phone.

Mine will get stiff every few months... chiropractor has helped tremendously with that .

If I feel it getting bad, I’ll watch tv in my recliner with a heating pad on my neck. Upper back and that is very helpful for me .

Deep tissue massage. If they ask your preference go with a dude unless the women there have really strong hands.
