I guess that explains the pickle juice she drank.

i've never truly had it. if i feel a little tired or crampy, i just eat more fat and salt. problem solved. i keep Mg and potassium citrate on hand for serious exertion.

It may or may not be a real thing. If she recently dove into keto, she just may have not eaten enough honestly. I just don't see a person, especially a woman's body would be that dependent on carbs to go into a flu state.

Listening to podcast about the subject, I hear a lot of people saying when they start keto, they simply just aren't eating enough food. That's my .02.

certainly when you start out. You stop eating the carbs, you deplete glycogen, with the glycogen goes water, and with the water goes electrolytes.

Drink plenty water, supplement magnesium, potassium, sodium. Eat food... no keto flu

I seriously don't understand why more people don't go gradually keto. Sure, let's go from 200g today to 50g tomorrow and expect no issues

When I did it, I went isocaloric for 6wks, then dropped carbs to 100, then 75, then incidental.

No flu, no issues.

I've never gone full keto, but have drastically cut back on carbs and doing it increments is how I did it. Only thing I experienced was insanely intense sweet cravings for about a week. Like nothing I'd ever experienced.

The keto site recommneded 21g of carbs per day based on my info, but I like to be realistic and shoot for around 50g per day.
