pre-ordered the MX Select EVOs

I think these are good, but if you were looking for a 5 to 55, the Core Fitness ones are tough to beat. I’ve had some for close to 4 years now. Will probably upgrade to heavier MX Selects when I get more space for a gym.

I didn't want anything with internal plastic parts. Plus if we like the 10-55 then I'll get the 10-100s that go up in 10s and it'll all be matchy matchy for her.

I've had the powerblock elite exp's with 50-70 expansions for almost 4 years now. No complaints at all.

That’s fair. I’m afraid to do renegade rows with mine due to the plastic…though I think they would hold up.

My brother has had 5-80 lb Nuobells for like 3 years of constant use and no issues. I finally broke down and bought a set this Christmas. They are worth the $$ imo; if after many years they have issues you can always replace the handles.

I'm surprised they haven't upgraded the internals yet. I would have gotten them if they had.

We got these for under $200. Go up to 100s in increments of 5s. Yes it takes way more time than a block, or a quick release adjustable DB set, but I don't care. They work great.

I got some exactly the same for my kid as a Christmas present . The newer style ones are not worth the cost to weight ratio IMO . We have enough weight in them to go up to 100 pounds each. That will last him for a while

I also went with similar ones, but instead of ordering a kit, I ordered handles and plates separately. The drawback is switching weights between exercises is slow, so I ordered another set of handles. If I'm doing some sort of supersets, I load one pair for one exercise and the other for the second lift. I might load them to 25 lbs to do curls, and then have another set at 35-40 lbs for overhead press. The handles themselves weigh about 3.5 lbs, so I take that into consideration too. If I load a 10 lb plate on each side, it is closer to 25 than 20. If I load 7.5 lb plates on each side, it is close to 20 than 15 etc.

That’s exactly what I did. It makes it more feasible to switch between sets

I researched all of the adjustable dumbbells in this thread and decided on the REP Peppins. I chose the Peppins because I liked the simple design and feel that they will last forever with having so few moving parts. Also, the insert plates allow you to go up in 5 lb increments.

They were delivered last week. The build quality is excellent and they feel like ordinary dumbbells when lifting.

Overall, I am very pleased with them so far.

I have a set of Fit RX dumbbells that I have used for over a year straight and haven't had a single problem yet. You don't have to overpay to get a good set.

We wanted to send a quick note as our warehouse team fulfills the final batches of Pre-orders estimated to ship in February as the remaining incoming shipments arrive. Our warehouse team is working to unload, organize, and label incoming shipments as fast as possible. We are working to ship the largest items first, Dumbbells and Barbell systems will be fulfilled first. Add-on weights and accessories will ship shortly after we process the largest items.

If you are receiving this email, You'll be receiving tracking numbers shortly, if you haven't already. Do not be alarmed if it takes 2-4 business days for your tracking numbers to go live in the Fedex tracking system.

We'll be loading out 10 full semi loads over the next 3-7 days which will go directly to Fedex hubs for unloading. Your tracking number will go live in the FedEx system once the semi carrying your order is unloaded and scanned into the FedEx system as they process each semi load.

Please note that actual delivery times won't be calculated at Fedex until your order is scanned into the Fedex System. If you use the Shop App for tracking, you may see an estimated arrival date based on when your label was printed, those dates are based on our normal fulfillment process, these large bulk shipments can take longer to process. Actual arrival dates will be more accurate once your packages are scanned into the Fedex System and tracked at Fedex.com

Keep in mind that MX125 Barbells, MX70 EVO and MX100 EVO dumbbells ship in two boxes. Your Master tracking number you receive from our system will give you access to both packages when tracked at Fedex.com. Due to the weight and size of our multi-peice shipments, they commonly get seperated during transit and arrive on different days.

Most of our staff will be helping our warehouse team over the following days to help get orders processed and loaded out of our warehouse. If you have an urgent question feel free to give us a call or send us a note; however, our responses will likely take longer than normal. Otherwise, please know that we are getting Pre-orders processed and moved out as fast a possible.

Check these out. I have the expansion that goes up to 70lbs. Great Price, great dumbbells. Check out the reviews on that thread.

I’ve bought 5 pairs of power blocks. Here’s what I’ll tell you.
The fancy urethane ones are complete garbage. The only thing steel in the bells are on the sides. They attach to each other from plastic to rubber/urethane. They break/dry rot. I spent $700 on something that I thought would last forever. Don’t buy
On the complete opposite end are the metal ones whose bells are welded together. These are the best on the market. Recommend getting the expandable ones so you not stuck with 50# forever. I had a weld break on one but it was on the most inside plate and didn’t affect anything. They’re also 17 years old

Also, idk what it costs now but their adjustable bench was the best bang for your buck of any non-commercial bench out there. I’ve had 4 of those. Still have one and it’s in the same condition as when I bought it years ago

So I got my dumbbells in yesterday. Smooth operation changing the plates but they do rattle more than I was expecting. Wonder if they all do or mine got some damage in transit

So i have had the urethane PBs since they came out over a decade ago. They have held up well, i have had 5 plates break in that time, exactly what you are describing and they replaced them no problems. Customer service has been on point.

now...with that said, yes i really like them, but the metal plates are much better. The reason is because the length of the urethane gets stupid long compared to others at heavy weight.

I will say adjustable dumbbells have come a long ways. I sitll rank the metal Powerblocks way up there but the Rep-Peppins take the cake right now. The others mentioned in this thread are really good too.

I will say I still recommend PB over others because their customer service is stupid good.
