Started this past Monday on Keto while running 2-4 miles a day and the Keto flu has hit me hard also.

Have you been replenishing your electrolytes?

For those of you suffering from keto flu: look up "ketoade" and drink tons of it. Keto flu is primarily caused by being deficient in salts & electrolytes because ketosis is naturally diuretic and you're flushing a lot of water.

Thanks for the tip, I just purchased ketoade on Amazon.
If I get enough electrolytes, will that also help w/ less frequent urination? On keto, I feel like I have a full bladder every 30 minutes.

You say it has reduced hunger, did this happen instantly or over a few weeks? I still feel hungry during certain hours of my day.

The reduced hunger happened instantly, I think it's because I add a lot of healthy fats to everything. If it weren't for all the fats, I'd be hungry all the time too. Been drizzling healthier oils (avocado, olive, macadamia) on chicken and broccoli a lot, and eating avocados and red meats definitely will keep you feeling fuller for a long time.

No that's probably a symptom of your body flushing out water.
You can also make ketoade very, very cheaply. It doesn't taste good but it's cheap. Last time I did keto i made OWSA's ketoade and used sugar-free lemonade water flavoring (mio) to make it palatable.
OWSA's keto guide has a ketoade recipe.
You can also do sugar-free powerade/gatorade to help. Or pickle juice.
Salt your food heavily.

This stuff was a great discovery for me back during my keto phase. I still sprinkle it in my water, protein shakes and on meals. Really helps with staying hydrated.

Been taking magnesium supplements, and adding Himalayan salt to food and water.
I honestly never really had it. Everyone is different though. Eat more salt than you think is healthy. Haha. But seriously and drink water with it.

I'm always surprised at the amount of sugar in most salad dressings too, but that would be odd for Albasha. Buy a piece of pita should have a lot less than 40g (esp post fiber).

Keep I mind there's no official nutrition facts. That's someone's best guess on MFP or the like.

Does keto flu include light headedness?
Posted on 1/11/20 at 12:39 pm to Hulkklogan
I got these in today. Hoping it’ll help with some of the restlessness at night... although it’s gotten way better past few nights. They don’t taste bad at all and will probably help with hangovers too.
