I chug a good amount of purified water at work every day because that is what the company provides. Is this draining my body of minerals compared to distilled or spring water?

Yes. You should switch to Dr. Pepper. Much better for you.

I have been drinking tap water exclusively for decades in Shreveport and have not had a single issue. Purified water is a racket and has diminishing returns

Seriously? It was never like that when I was growing up and living there. I just did a quick search. It's been happening for awhile. It's a shame becasue the water used to taste really good.

Water is the least of your worries. Being in Shreveport is your major life problem.
