How is everyone doing with their IF experiences now?

I have definitely lost some body fat % and staying lean. I see no negative results in the gym and feel like I actually have gotten stronger. No specific workout routine, but stick to the big lifts and a few accessory lifts. Workout 5 days a week at 5 AM with about 15-20 minutes of cardio afterwards. I also have pretty much transitioned into 18:6 now with some black coffee during the fast.

Also, I am really looking into EAA's, but I think I remember lsu777 saying something about also adding glutamine? Would buying the EAA +glutamine in bulk be the best option? Or EAA + BCAA in bulk? I do like the Xtend BCAAs (which I have been taking and include glutamine).
Is True Nutrition the best value for getting EAAs in bulk?

I give up on IF. I have too much of a physical job to work on an empty stomach post workouts. But I did start managing my portions better throughout the day as a whole. So, we’ll see.

truenutrition is going to best bang for the buck when you consider quality.

mega dosing glutamine (15-20g daily) helps with recovery but its not needed. only helps.

I’m having great success with it. Mornings like today when I have some intense cardio makes it a little more painful to not eat until 12/1. I’ll probably eat early today.

I got upgraded to 70mg on Monday, still haven't gotten them filled. I'm down 15 pounds since April . I've adjusted my window to 2-8. I'm having trouble getting enough protein though. My overall goal is to burn more fat. I'm active 2-3 times a day with weight lifting, yoga, and walking. My goal is 195

Sounds good. Thanks. I am a poor med student right now so trying to get good value on stuff. I love the True Nutrition Whey isolate cold filtration protein.

My eating window has been 2-8 as well for the most part. Sometimes I go 2-7, just depends on schedule.

Today will be a hard day to stay fasted for long. I also had a good cardio session this am. Ran 1 mile then did 10 min HIIT (1 min sprint, 1 min walk).

I started IF in February. I've only been to the gym about 2 weeks since then. I've lost 14 pounds and feel pretty good. Probably gonna start the gym again next week

I can't remember when I last posted in this thread, but it has been awhile. I have inadvertently gotten into a modified one meal a day habit.

I have just been busy with work and a bathroom remodel plus all kinds of other shite, all the time. Anyway, I just find myself looking up and it's 1pm and all I will have had is black coffee.

Then I'm usually not even hungry so I've been eating around 4 every day then doing a low carb snack around 8. And that's it. I'm at a stage where I'm close to my fighting (figurative) weight so it's hard to shed weight.

But I dropped from just under 180, to 175 in about 10 days (water-weight, clothes and time of day all constant). Pretty solid results for what has been a long plateau period.

Eta: I say water-weight constant becuae I've been steadily in ketosis for a few weeks and haven't been drinking alcohol, so I assume water-weight is pretty steady at same time each day, fasted.

Still going. I've managed to drop 10lbs total, but i'm up and down since i drink beer and don't really fast on the weekend.

I can tell i'm somewhat leaner though. Even when i bump back up 4lbs or so, I'm not as bloated.

ETA: Main struggle is hitting protein. While trying to keep fat & carbs under, i'm just not getting the protein i need. I know it's just a matter of the sources for each

I have that same problem sometimes. Lots of days I have to lean on supplements to get there.

I’m not tracking macros at all. Just eating in my window and drinking tons of water. Eventually I’ll start but I just finished a semester of school and didn’t need another headache lol!

If your goal is to lean and lose fat, I would suggest a lower protein and higher fat intake, especially while doing IF. Lower your carbs to about 20 grams, and protein to about .8 grams per pound of body weight, with fats making up the rest.

Too much protein can actually have a negative effect in terms of losing weight. Your body will only absorb so much protein , the rest will get converted to fat (belly flab) and the excess aminos will be excreted.
