Ray Cronise went 24 days on a water fast. Lost a bunch of fat and only 1.5lbs LBM. Says all his labs were fine afterwards. 24 days is crazy!

Intermittent Fasting experiences?
In January I started a no carb diet and have transitioned to 16:8 in February. Much more energy going on and the only hours that are hard are around 11am or 11pm. Down 17lbs so far in 6 weeks

Making more progress. I'm now down 32lbs in about 12 weeks.

Been doing IMF for a few days now, feeling pretty good so far

Do have a question though:

Is there a feeding/fasting time period that has better results?

I’ve been having a feeding window from 8 am to 4 pm, but curious if It’s preferred to actually fast through the morning or if it doesn’t matter at all

The only thing I wouldn't do is eat my last meal at 8 then go to bed at like 9. Other than that is doesn't really make a difference. You won't get better results 8-4 rather than say 11-7 or 12-8

My eating window has been 2p-6p. Less meat, no dairy, more fruits and veggies. Down 13lbs in 3 weeks.

So far my experience has been good. Doing the 16:8 from 12pm-8pm. Finding I'm at my hungriest when I first wake up.

Overall soreness is down, energy is up, workouts are more productive.

What time do most of you workout? I’ve recently transitioned to 5:15am workouts so I’m more hungry in the am (usually very hungry as soon as I wake up anyway). Seems like I need to go ahead and have an early meal to get some protein intake but then just cut it off in the 4-5pm range. Thoughts?

I lift in the early am time slot and then also do my running in the afternoons/evening around 5pm on Monday’s and Wednesday’s. I’ll normally get one more run workout in on Friday or on Sat/Sun.

I have 35 more lbs of fat to lose and it’s getting more difficult. The first 40-50 lbs went pretty good.

I work out at 5am on most days. M, W, F are usually weights. T, Th, and Sat are usually run days. Sunday is rest or afternoon workout.

So, you eat early and cut it off early in the evening or keep the 12-6pm window?

I try to do a 1/2-6 eat window during the week. Weekends are less stringent.

I've been doing 16/8 or some version depending on when i break my fast since the new year. I haven't lost too much b/c i haven't been too focused on eating healthy.

What are you guys eating? High protein? anything you want? My wife is on weight watchers and i tend to eat what she cooks at supper, but find myself being a little more lax during lunch. I hope to start jogging again soon and tightening the ropes on this thing.

FYI - my schedule tends to be wake up at 4, drink coffee through the morning til 10ish and then switch to water the rest of the day. Subway for lunch. Sweets are killing me right now

This is probably why you haven't lost much. You need to adjust how much you eat during the day and lay off sweets for most of the week. Adjust your calorie intake while doing the IF and you will see the difference.

People think scarfing down a shite load of bread and preseevative filled meat is healthy.

responses like this from douchebags like you are why people don't ask for help or seek advice.

I wasn't repsonding to or blaming anyone in particular. In fact, if I were going to blame anyone for that being the prevailing thought it would be the government and subway themselves. Subway pimps themselves as a health food, when in fact it's pretty awful for you.

I'm not sure why you are getting so offended. It's definitely not most peoples fault for believing what they're told by every outlet. They're just ignorant to the facts, which isn't always their fault.

came off like backhanded jab at me

but i understand what you're saying. No, it's not the healthiest, but it's not the worse. I'm just trying to right the ship and it's better than the alternatives around.
