In need of a very high quality protein supplement

My dad has been dealing with some long term health issues. Within the past several months he’s been dealing with painful mouth ulcers that are making it excruciatingly painful to eat. As a result he’s lost about 25 to 30 lbs. My concern now is that if I don’t get him on a diet high in protein and other essential nutrients, his health is going to keep deteriorating. I’ve purchased a couple supplements in the past couple days for bone health and a fruits and veggie supplement, but I really need a high quality protein. I’m not willing to trust the crap you find in the grocery store like ensure. My main concern is getting some weight back on him and boosting his immune system so he starts feeling better. Sorry for the long post, but I’m kind of desperate as I hate seeing my dad suffering like this.

True Nutrition and MyProtein are the best imo. TN is best overall and MP is the best bang for buck.

true nutrition it going to be bast quality, but he is going to need to be able to like the taste so you maybe best off going to bodybuilding.com and getting a couple of the popular proteins that he can rotate that taste good.

At this point, he’s beyond how it tastes. He’s miserable. He told me this morning if I can find him a capsule or a shake he’ll get it drank because it’s so painful to chew. It’s like a compounding problem because the ulcers are painful but the body not getting proper nutrients is pulling the nutrients from his body. That just makes everything more painful. I think if I can attack the nutrition problem it will boost his immune system and strengthen his body. He just can’t continue on like this.

They have a great selection of meal replacement options. I really enjoy their vegan formula with a double dose of chocolate.

I would consider adding actual bone broth for a protein.
If you are blending or pureeing food, microgreens have a load of nutrition. Pea microgreens are big with the vegetarians since they have a good chunk of protein with them.

I purchased him a bone marrow supplement this morning, so we are thinking along the same lines. It’s from a company called Ancestral Supplements. It’s their grass fed bone and marrow extract. His white blood cell count has been low, but tests for cancer and Leukemia have all come back negative. My thought process is to target his bone health while simultaneously getting him the proper nutrition his body desperately needs. I’m hopeful that if I can do that, I can get him feeling much better and boost his immune system.

I'm not in mass gainer mode but i almost pulled the trigger on this for my FIL when he had weight loss issues. It looks like an excellent gainer with only 5 ingredients.

I’ve been emailing back and forth with True Nutrition today. I’m thinking I’m going to start him on a hydrolyzed protein since it’s easier to digest. I appreciate all of the suggestions so far. I’ve been trying to quickly educate myself so the suggestions help

I am sure that's fine. Just know sometimes things are lost in production of such stuff. I know bone broth has been called the elixir of the gods, so I would look into what, if anything, could be missing. I just started using Kettle & Fire bone broth, but just started taking a glass a day of it so no known bonus yet for my experience. I will say I did notice a good difference with a collagen supplement.
Codeage Multi Collagen Protein Powder Peptides
Don't forget vitamin/minearls like zinc, D (with a K), C, etc.
