What are some good resistance exercises you can do using just your body weight, or normal household items. I just purchased a house, and let go of my gym membership. In my house I have a office/man cave/exercise room. I have an eliptical, but no place to put any weight equipment, outside of a few dumbells which I will get later.

So I was trying to think of some exercises to do, using what I have. I'm not coming up with anything on certain body parts though. Here is what I have. I would love to get some suggestions on what im missing, as well as any added to the muscle groups I already have covered.

Abs: tons of different kinds of crunches/sit ups

Legs: lunges, squats

Chest: multiple different forms of push ups

Triceps: diamond push ups, dips

Biceps/back/shoulders is where I'm mainly drawing blanks. I don't have a pull up bar. Outside out just curling, lifting a heavy object is there any other type of exercise you can suggest using just body weight?

Kettle bells are incredibly diverse also. I know you said “body weight” but there is so much you can do with just a couple kettle bells

And like others have said, pull-up bar

I'm about to build gymnastic bars in my backyard.

I'm going to get a weather proof box to store a few KBs and either a sandbag or heavy medicine ball as well

I think I should be able to do everything I want with that

Bands, the ones from elitefts or somewhere like that. You can do banded push-ups, stuff for biceps, triceps and shoulders.

I kno there are routines like Convict Conditioning which are good for this. I’m looking into it since i’ll be without a gym for 3 weeks later this summer on vacation.

Judging by the responses there really isn't a whole lot for back, shoulders without some type of equipment.

I'll either get a pull up bar or find something to do curls and stuff with.

Look into TRX straps. You'll need a good anchor point but you can do full body workout with them.

Find a way to do Australian Pull ups will also help with upper back

Don't you live in Montana? Those will be great two months out of the year.

To OP, I second what everybody has said. Sandbag, pullup bar and rings will get you.as strong as you need to be, especially upper body. My only complaint is it's not quite as versatile for legs. Above about 200 lbs a sandbag isn't practical to work with, so you have to go for endurance strength rather than pushing max weight.
