It's not unusual to see 10 point fluctuations. When you go to the Dr's office, they know/expect that it's almost always higher due to the anxiety of just being there.

Mine routinely fluctuates up to 10 points, depending on when I take it, and activities beforehand. If it's mid-day, and I'm active right before I take it, the first reading might be a little high, but I can sit still, take deep breaths for about a minute, and just calm down, and the numbers will drop as much as 10 points.

This is my experience as well. Often referred to as white coat syndrome.

id say thats in realm of normal fluctuating.

was it the same type of measuring technique? my BP runs higher when i use an automatic cuff vs a nurse/md doing stethoscope+scope.

My BP is normal, but it's incredibly high at the doctor's office. Now, before my appointments, I just keep a log of my readings and give to the doctor.

Totally normal. Get good resting rate measurements a few times a day and just average it out. Stress from work, activity, and all other sorts of things could have caused a single higher reading.

My top fluctuates in that range. My low sits in the 70s.

I’m 70 and mine may be 115/65 some days, 125-135/65-75 some days. Doc says look at a monthly average.

Mine is 105-110 over 70ish in the AM and it climbs to 125-130 over 80ish at its peak from 1-5pm before settling back down.

It's your body adjusting for work/stress during the day.

When your body starts at a peak pf 130-140+ over 90+ in the AM, you should start to take notice, because it is probably 150+ over 100+ 6-8 hours later.

Second question. Do you use wrist or arm monitors. From what I've read the wrist monitors are not as accurate, but the arm cuff has always been real painful to me for some reason. Some sources strongly recommend not using the wrist monitors. Others say it's not ideal, but ok if not a life or death situation.

I have an OMRON wrist monitor. It’s garbage. I only use my arm cuff, but even it is very sensitive to arm location and position.
