I have a major funk issue with some of my gear after washing and rewashing. What detergents, boosters and cycles do y'all use to keep clothes clean and fresh?
Also general laundry tips are helpful as well.

If HE washer, then very small loads. Use a special stink specific detergent, then add vinegar to the wash.

I probably shouldn't be lazy and do big loads, no?

This had been discussed before.

My shirts are the problem. I usually soak them in a vinegar mixture (sometimes I add baking soda just for the volcano effect) in the sink. Then wash them with Tide Sport.

I just tried the vinegar trick after a thread 2 weeks ago. This is my go-to now:

Nathan Sports Wash
Downy Unstoppables
Cup of Vinegar

Before I was just doing sports wash and Unstoppables. Vinegar was a game changer

Big loads should be reserved for lightly worn stuff. Athletic in small loads only. Just not enough water.

Vinegar didn't help me..I could still smell them. Maybe it is the washer? And just need a new one.

My wash is Gain, Gain softener, Borax and a tablespoon of apple cider on the longest wash with cold water

Persil Detergent
Baking Soda
Lysol Laundry Sanitizer

Prewash and soak, then regular wash.

Baking soda is the workhorse

If you want the big bucks, you gotta do the big stuff.

Tide Pod - Sports with Febreeze

Used to use the standard stuff, ever since my wife found this, I have had no issue. Stuff actually smells pretty good.

i've actually been laying out my clothes if they get soaked and then air drying before washing. been a huge improvement. i found this out during the sweatfest that was August running outdoors.

My wife has done the marathon stuff and we’ve been working out for five years. We have tried a ton of stuff and getting them as dry as possible as fast as possible Helps.

Other than that you should just plan on throwing them away.

It is odd but the new soft cottony stretchy stuff is the absolute best at not stinking. The nylon stuff is the worst.

I use tide sport liquid and it's fine. Dry without softener sheets. Some things I hang to dry.
